    I'm inland and north, and the Great Smoky Mountains certainly give a break to most of the storms and hurricanes. We may get a bit of wind and torrential rains, but usually that's about it.

    Hope you are out of the way, or able to head away to safety. My door is always open for those who need it.

    Is that window trim color? Sorry, not a fan at all. It doesn't relate to anything that I can see.

    My opinion, I'd go with either white for a crisp look and carry forward with the front porch railing, or a lighter version of the main house color.

    Exactly what Id prefer too. Esp a much lighter version of the house color. My house is PINK brick and I always agonize over trim color. Nothing really works except a boring taupe color. Even white wont work. :(

    I like white it makes the green color stand out more. Final choice should be something you like.

    We are just into the busy part of hurricane season and I am already tired of watching them. It isn't coming here but you can feel a change in the air. It is a sultry feeling if you can imagine.

    The coming of fall always has interesting feeling air. Like the first feel of fall, it is like velvet air.

    A lot of people here are painting their brick siding. Just a thought!

    One just down the street painted the brick a creamy white, a mid sage green trim, and copper gutters and downspouts. Window boxes and general landscape plants that are definitely a Craftsman/Mission flavor.

    Hurricanes usually begin near Africa as harmless infants and mature near the US with substantial loss of life when on shore.

    The US mainland is where hurricanes usually die.

    Does anyone think this is a metaphor for what happens to things of African descent?

    Some systems don't make it off the coast of Africa and some systems develop in the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf not to mention the Pacific Ocean. The development mostly depends on the time of year.

    Do to certain health issues, I've gone to low acid coffee, and pop three of something called 'Prelief', an acid neutralizer that works for drinks and some food. Otherwise the acid effects are extremely painful for me.
