Ginnie springs Florida. Central Florida is full of similar springs.

Anyway, sliding door looks great, the little lights over the bar in the kitchen and living room, or in, looking like there’s a good chance I’ll be able to live in my house again before I die

Just had a lightning strike about 10' from my home. Hit the transformer box on the power line right next to me.
All my electrics ''sparked'' but the power didn't go off. We think it hit the little spikes between the ceramic insulator discs which are earthed to act as lightning rods.
Scared the poop out of me.

You can bet they're there somewhere. Maybe down the river a little bit. Unfortunately with the overcrowding of Florida places like this tend to be packed with hundreds of people on the weekend. I'm surprised they were able to get a photo like that without the place being packed.

Springs are cold too with the majority of them having water 72° year round

That's not much colder than our public swimming pools in the UK.
    They are around 78 F.
You Floridians must be a bit soft. ;)

Cold isn't our big issue. The Gulf stream keeps us warm.
If I was to travel due west from where I live I'd hit land in Newfoundland. Now that's a frozen area.
It's the rain that gets you down here but then again it is also what makes it such a ''green and pleasant land''.

    I couldn't cope with that.
We hit 104 F here last Summer and it was horrendous.
At least if it's cold I can put more clothes on or light a fire.

It is extremely dry here, and if you stay in the shade, it is bearable. In direct sunlight there is a long list of the effects. One of my favorites is how it burns the color red out of all outdoor signage.

We're just not equipped for 100+ degrees in this country.
Even the steps start to melt.

Lol. I recorded it and watched about 60 minutes of pomp and about 30 of circumstance. Camilla seemed pretty pleased with herself. Not sure what sort of cheapish looking made inChina cape they had Kate in.

That Kate could really do with a good square meal. She looks anorexic.
    Worst than princess Di.

Our small town of 4.2 square miles has 43 churches.

If you live in this town and you die and go to hell it's your own damn fault!

This sitting around in bed with a cast on my broken ankle is getting very old.

Our mobile home has an upstairs loft with Windows on the top level. For a somewhat small mobile home the loft is surprisingly large. We have a daybed up there but it is mostly used for storage and my girlfriend's she shack.

You have to crawl on your hands and knees around up there.

I'm going to have her put a can on a stick in the yard for a Target and crawl up the stairs and open one of the windows up there ( the one with no screen) and take my pellet rifle up there and have a little range time.

I've done it before and it makes a handy little sniper's nest.

My little sniper's nest. See what happens when I don't come up here and forever and you let the woman decorate the place?

There really is a lot of room up here. If you put a king size mattress she would probably still have at least 40% left of the area.

What's the foot/pound on your air rifle FB?
We are limited to 12 here and 6 on air pistols.

Probably right around 12 maybe a bit less.

It's a 22 so it's about 20% more powerful and foot pounds then the 177 or as you may call them across the pond....joules.

My 22 Springer is probably a bit more.

No we call them foot pounds.
Any more than 12 and you need a firearms licence.
I have a 177 with a cheap scope but I don't get it out very often.

Maybe it's the Australians who call it joules? And I remember the Germans do call it that as well.

I have my cap and ball black powder muzzle loading 44 as well that I can legally have but I don't get that out to shoot very often, maybe once a year on private property because it is a pain in the butt to clean.

I might not hit a beer can at 100 ft with it every time but it is almost always within a dinner plate size area.

I'm considering getting a true Big bore PCP air gun one day but between the gun and the compressor you're looking at about $1,600.

Being laid up out of work at the moment with this broken ankle I can't justify that sort of expenditure. Maybe next year.

You should look into getting a Diana chaser. That is the make and model of that CO2 gun I have.
