At some point in your life you're gonna have to stop caring about what others think about you. If I knew I was innocent of a crime I wouldn't give a damn about what you thought.
It's evidence by very credible and knowing witnesses. They were in the room where it happened .. (or on the phone ... or whatever), they were there and there are tapes to corroborate their testimony. No judge is going to, out of hand, throw that out and risk a mistrial.
That's horseshit. But at 71, believe me I couldn't care less what people think about me.
Hypotheticals aside, this isn't about me, nor could it ever be. "I" would never dream of putting myself above or before my beloved Country. Or, even doing something that would appear so.
You should be more careful who you lecture; gunsel.
Good to know you didn't vote for Biden.
Speaking of knowing you're innocent of a crime...what are your thoughts about the 6 conservative congress folks who asked for a pardon from Trump? They were all folks that worked with him to overturn the election results. If they were doing what they thought was legal and just, why would they ask for a pardon?
Excellent...I'm with ya... let's look into it all.... Let's find out who the players were... the security is a definite legislative issue the legislative Congress should be addressing BEFORE chasing any executive branch crimes....
but... oh wait...
The Jan. 6 committee chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson said that no one is "off limits" for testimony, including Donald Trump.. ""The American people deserve to know what happened on Jan 6"
So when will Pelosi be subpoenaed? When will Mitch McConnell be subpoenaed... Let's hear from all about security that day...
I'm not very familiar with this, so I'm somewhat reluctant to comment on what I know little about. However, given the environment of the double standard we're living under democrats rule where they will viciously go after anyone associated with Trump looking for any skeletons hiding in their closets I can't say I blame them for doing whatever might make it easier for them to survive the witch hunts. People go so far as donating to police to get a sticker for their car thinking they might avoid traffic ticket.
I have said basically that the only value politics has is entertainment. You disagree. I would be interested in why you disagree. Politics doesn't help government. It gets in the way of government. Politics creates wrong policies for the wrong reasons. Partisanship, the major cause of governmental corruption, results from politics. I contend that we would be a better society with better government without politics. Tell me why you think otherwise.
Im not sure how you eliminate politics from government?
The republicans who participated in the December 21st meeting were told that their efforts were not legal. Yet they persisted. They continued to tell the big lie. Those same people then asked for a pardon. I can't blame them either - they knowingly acted after being told their efforts were fraudulent.
And while I respect your decision to not watch the hearings, its rather difficult to take your views seriously if you choose to not be informed. By last night, the list of those seeking pardons were all over the news.
While other legal authorities said there was a legal basis for questioning/challenging the EC votes.
I wouldn't either, unless you were a member of the jury at my trial. But what does that have to do with Trump and 1/6? He's guilty as hell according to the facts we've learned.
Well then, what's holding up the Committee? Turn over all the evidence to the DOJ and stop wasting time putting on the dog and pony show.
And those who HAVE agreed to testify...has the committee told you what THEY said?
I haven't heard it, if they have. Maybe you can quote the committee?
The AG, Acting AG and Dep. AG (all republicans and appointed by Trump) said there was no legal basis for the claim after their investigation. They investigated all claims - including the youtube video regarding the Italians - and found nothing. To which legal authorities are you referring, specifically?
Neither am I. Politics is an expression of human weakness. It is about power and control and those are the things we really need get out of government. I guess the answer is that people who are willing to put the common good above self interest aren't the kind of people who enter politics. I'm one of those people and I would never consider getting involved in politics. It is foreign to my nature. Yet I would be happy to help to help promote the common good if I didn't have to deal with politics. So the best we can do is fight against the power and control. Call it out constantly.
You mean the other side isn't being asked at the hearings? Imagine that.
I can't. But you've brought it up - so are there any that dispute the claims being made but aren't being presented? I would think they'd be on all the talk shows - Fox for sure - if their testimony has been covered up.
That doesn't answer my question - to which legal authorities are you referring? Who, specifically in legal standing, has stated that the actions/beliefs regarding a stolen election were legit?
All of them, Silly Willy. Everyone knows that Rs are infallible (or justified or misunderstood or taken out of context or are targets or innocent victims or all such adjectives like that). /smdh
Jenna Ellis for one. One of Trump's campaign advisors.
Who I voted for is none of you GD business. But, I don't mind telling you I AbsaByGodLutely didn't vote for tRaitor tRump.
While all statements can potentially be cross-examined, whether there was election fraud or not would be irrelevant to the likely criminal charges against Trump and would therefore not constitute exculpatory evidence either way. You are barking up the wrong tree.
So far, it looks like they've had their hands FULL just dealing with all the evidence that tRaitor tRump subverted the election and used the full power of the Presidency to do it.
