So much for the rule of law
By Jerry Newcombe, CP Op-Ed Contributor
These days it seems that Saul Alinsky has taken over the Democrat Party. This is no longer the party of JFK — not even close. JFK said in his Inaugural Address, “the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God.”

There is no God, says Saul Alinsky (1909-1972), the Marxist community organizer par excellence from Chicago. He perfected many of the “by any means necessary” tactics the left is using today — tactics on full display these days in the wake of challenges to Roe v. Wade.

Alinsky deeply influenced some key leaders of the left. Such as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, who taught Saul Alinsky’s tactics to a whole new generation of “social warriors.”

Alinsky believed agitation was the key to overhauling the system. He said, “First rule of change is controversy. Change means movement and movement means friction and friction means heat and heat means controversy.”

He wrote the book on such change — Rules for Radicals, 1971. He dedicated this book to Satan — no kidding. “‘Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history … the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.’”

Saul Alinsky believed that truth and morality are relative. He wrote, “The end justifies almost any means.”

He targeted Christians in order to break down Christian morality in society: “Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian Church can live up to Christianity.”

With this kind of thinking, virtually no Christian or person of goodwill could run for office because no one is perfect. Yet President Calvin Coolidge said, “If good men don’t hold office, bad men will.”…..

    T
he actions of those opposed to the reversal of Roe vs Wade are clearly those of people diametrically opposed to the rule of law. They think that to protect their ill gotten gains that anything goes and that the ends justify whatever means need be. The baby killers are desperate now to keep their abortuaries in operation.

Where is the nominal Catholic Joe Biden in the defense of the rule of law in this matter?

I'd like to hear specifically how Obama and Hillary worked with him and which of his methods they used. You don't go into any detail about that.

Good description of the Alinsky influence on the Democrat party. It is not related to abortion but a good example is the concerted effort by the media, big tech, and congress itself to stifle and stop speech and publication of accused right wing or conservative pundits, broadcasters, papers, and educators. Some of the commentators supporting this have used direct quoted phrases of Alinsky.

You’ve never heard of Jerry Newcombe? His articles are covered widely across alternative news and Christian media. I could have linked this article here from a dozen different sources.

It doesn’t say that they personally ever worked with him. Obama was only 11 years old when Alinsky died. The author said that they were influenced by his writings and ideas.

How were they influenced by his ideas?

He wrote, they read. Pretty basic and elementary to me.

How do you know they read his writings? And people read all sorts of stuff they don't necessarily agree with.

Cool, but that doesn't mean she agreed with everything he said or she has the same views she did when she was a college student.

She said she did. She disagreed with him in his belief that the system cannot be changed from the inside.

It is interesting that the Clinton white house suppressed the release of it until after they left office in 2001.

What did she say she agreed with exactly? Also, do you have the exact same positions you did in college? We need to stop attacking 70 year olds for some stupid thing they thought when they were 19.

She found it easier to enumerate her differences than her agreements. But, you can read her book, if you're really interested in Alinsky's influence on her, then and now.
I'm sure Kavanaugh would agree with that.

Obama was schooled by disciples of Alinsky himself, including Mike Kruglik, who remembered Obama as “the best student he ever had,” a “natural … undisputed master of agitation.”

Kruglik studied at the Industrial Areas Foundation, the community organizing school founded by Alinsky. Obama completed the national training course taught by the IAF in Los Angeles.

He then went on to teach Alinsky concepts and methods at community organizing workshops and seminars in Southside Chicago.

But exactly what did she agree with that is problematic? I can't ever get any kind of detail about this. I always hear these vague assertions with zero detail.

There is a difference between expressing an opinion in college and sexual assault, whether or not he actually did it. Bad analogy.

How do you know Obama agreed with this professor? I had a lot of professors who had all sorts of views that I disagreed with. I had a radical feminist professor, and a far-right wing creationist professor as well. They both liked me because I took the class seriously.

I already told you. She disagreed with Alinsky's belief that the system cannot be changed from inside. She mentions that disagreement explicitly in her book.

C'mon man, you can't even be serious. He took the course, passed it with flying colors, then went forth to teach its concepts to others.

He’s not. Simply derailing from the absence of the rule of law in today’s democrat ideology compared to their ever so distant own past…

I love how these so-called "progressive liberals"…( who do not deserve being called either progressive or liberal because they are neither one)... Love to attack Christianity.

But they don't have one God blessed word of criticism to say about a religion who still makes their women cover their self from head to toe and restricts many of them from driving and throws homosexuals off of rooftops.
