You never have grasped, have you, that the vermin you so worship live by stealing a very high proportion of our wages for doing bugger-all. Wonderful what brainwashing can do to uneducated peasants!

I was being honest-if the average yapping fan of socialism in America traveled to places like North Korea or some African socialist nations, they would realize what a joke collectivization is and its a disease we don't want to encourage in the USA

you're the one who wants higher taxes, not me. I don't worship politicians-that is something you big government fan boys do. Politicians are a necessary evil-at best-to me

I don't want taxes at all - I want the elimination of your beloved thieves and control of industry by the working class. Governments, as you know, are the central committee of the boss class whose feet you so love to lick.

That you are forced to use irrelevant exceptions to support your fallacies about Social Democracies says volumes.

social democrats are just another form of collectivism. something we don't need in this country. I do find it interesting that most of the gun banners on this board, and others, are also socialists

I wonder if its because socialists want power concentrated in the hands of a centralized government or socialists don't want armed resistance to the implantation of their freedom-hating schemes?

The Constitution was written with the SOCIALIST concept of the WELFARE of We the People INCLUDED in the text!

That you are unaware of the intentions of the Founding Fathers is not my problem.

that's a bogus and blatantly biased definition of welfare or socialism. there is nothing in the constitution that supported welfare in the sense of taking wealth from a defined group and spending it on another defined group. If you want to pretend that say public roads, defense, fire brigades are socialism-that is just silly. Nothing in the constitution was intended nor written to allow the government to take say the wealth of the top 1 percent and give it to people who fail to work or take care of themselves. Those who claim that the term "general welfare" is the same as the public dole are ignorant of the constitution and the intent of the founders

Given that the extremist alt right supports the stripmining of the poort and the middle class for the WELFARE of the 1% your erroneous misunderstanding of the Constitution is duly noted and disregarded.

I get it-you think all wealth belongs to the government and if the rich actually invest and make money, that somehow steals it from the crack heads, school dropouts, teen mothers and others who should own that wealth

yet another evasion and failure to actually address the point. Your arguments that touch on the constitution-be it "general welfare" or the second amendment demonstrate a complete ignorance of the subject.

and no one is under any obligation to find your far left anti constitutional arguments meritorious. WE get the fact that you want a socialist dictatorship in the USA where rights are limited by a government that monopolizes all power and wealth. Sorry, I oppose that and again I note-your existence is not a just claim on someone else's time, labor, wealth, or resources.

Repeating the same failed extremist alt right strawman does not alter the fact that it is just a failed extremist alt right strawman!

calling any argument that you don't like "extremist alt right straw man" isn't a valid form of debate

the fact is, those who want a socialist society are generally power hungry control freaks or people who have failed to succeed in this nation and want the government to punish those who are able to achieve prosperity in this nation.

    BZZZT Wrong!

Calling your failed extremist alt right strawman a failed extremist alt right strawman because it is a failed extremist alt right strawman is a legitimate response to a failed extremist alt right strawman!

Are you seriously asserting that regulations were eliminated on S&Ls, corporations, and Wall Street? You know, I'm sure, that the financial industry is one of the most highly regulated of all industries.

Back then, the average Colonial American would have had viewed government-based welfare as something "that was not theirs to give."

Why would some poor pioneer doing back-breaking work to clear his own land expect the US or State government to give him food stamps, Section 8 housing, Medicaid, free utilities, free education for his kids or any other entitlement? Land was given to be proved by the individual.

And the average Colonial would not like your socialist ideas of collective farms working for a political boss. With forced quotas, and taking most of the goods for communist party.

I don't support either of those "-isms." Rather, I support a system where all are free to do whatever they please with their own bodies and property, as long as they don't violate anyone else's body or property, and where the sole purpose of the legal system is to enforce this.
