I don't care about 1787. We don't live in that time. We live in 2018, and it's a moronic system which allows the election of the leader of this country AGAINST the will of the people being governed. That is antithetical to the founding principles of this nation.

I would think that those who founded the union would be the authority on the founding principles. This is the system that the delegates from the states agreed upon in order to balance the interests of the more and less populous states.

I don't think that you'll get the necessary number of states to ratify an amendment to the treaty.

 

Currently we have 6.7Million jobs available but only 6.3Million unemployed workers, according to the Labor Dep't.

Trump is being treated as he well deserves. He was elected into office by a vote-distorting Electoral College, which exists in NO OTHER DEVELOPED NATION on earth, that warps the popular-vote. Which is the only LEGITIMATE mechanism by which to elect an official representative to any political office.

And which is the rule that prevails for all other political positions of office in the nation!

Right-wing simpletons could care less - they focus only on the results of electing a Replcant PotUS - five of which have been illegitimate over the entire history of the US.

The last two in the past 18-years - Bush2 and Donald Dork. It is time to stop the insane manner in which both Gerrymandering and the Electoral College manipulate the popular-vote:
*Gerrymandering should be outlawed, but the Supreme Court is dithering.
*The Electoral College should only report the popular-vote to Congress.

Those changes would effectively repair America's Dysfunctional Democracy ....

 

And so ... ?

It's amazing that some people cannot see the lack of integrity/honesty in the election mechanism of the PotUS. Do we not see that the election to the Executive Office, unlike all other elections to political office in the nation, DOES NOT RESPECT THE RULE OF POPULAR-VOTE MAJORITY?

New York: The United States is running awfully short of seasonal non-agricultural labour in the warm summer months and is upping its supply of already existing yearly cap of 66,000 H2B visas by an additional 15,000 for temporary nonagricultural workers to close the gap somewhat for Fiscal Year 2018.

"These visas are available only to American businesses which, among other things, attest that they will likely suffer irreparable harm without the ability to employ all the H2B workers requested in their petition", says the temporary rule that goes into effect this week

 

Dirty Donald has hired his cheap overseas help year after year regardless of the employment situation in our country.Exactly like his clothing line and his daughters clothing,shoes and jewelry all made in the cheapest manufacturing country they could find.Some of Iwankers shoes made in Ethiopia.

 

And there's nothing inherently wrong with that. The US should, after all, be focusing on more skilled labour. The trouble is that, through its structural flaws enabled by market fundamentalism, it has generated a productivity gap where the working classes aren't celebrated.
