We are nearing a point where a fertilized egg or fetus could be removed from the mother at any time, and put in an artificial womb. Ban abortion and/or provide fetal transplants as an option. Once developed, put the baby up for adoption. Provide this as a discounted service funded by anti-abortion activists and churches.

An intrusive, coercive government invading and controlling wombs to either demand or forbid abortions is a very bad idea. Keeping the State out of such a private matter to whatever extent that is practical is a reasonable goal. Most folks recognize that a mindless, microscopic entity at the beginning of gestation is not a person, but that at the end of that process it has become one. Most advanced nations, including the US, have attempted to establish reasonable temporal criteria for what establishes personhood. Folks who dissent from that societal determination and the scientific data that supports it are free to preach one way or the other as fits their ideas in the matter. What neither faction should ever be allowed to do is use government to force their personal notions upon everyone else.
I personally don't know anyone for abortion either. But I suggest you try watching TV some time and you will quickly "know" them. Anyone who has an abortion, performs an abortion, or promotes abortion, is "for abortion". No need to play word games. That "CHOICE" takes a human life. Anytime a life is taken we all have the right to an opinion. If the choice is to kill or allow to live then my choice is the latter. It's the humane choice. Anytime one human being decides to take the life of another innocent human being we have become savages.
The government has an inherent right to promote sound social policy that impacts both the economy and national defense.
