Going back as far as post #325 I can't find where the "topic" has been addressed. I believe the government and society (as partially determined by me and others like me) has the full right (and for that matter responsibility) to "encourage" certain types of personal behavior. I'm not sure how I can be any more clear.
By "encourage" do you mean encourage as in waterboarding or laws restricting rights and controlling women.....what do you consider "encouraging"....???

Is preventing the slaughter of humans the same as masturbation? No, I do not believe it is. Should a woman be forced to get pregnant? Clearly she should not. Is she responsible for her own sexual activity? Generally she is. If she gets pregnant then what? If she allows the child to survive, in a lot of cases as the child grows up, the child is extremely grateful to the mother. Mothers day should not stand for getting an abortion.
There is a crazy idea by Democrats that giving birth means the government now is in charge of the baby and must take care of it. Surely the argument can't be that a woman gives birth and dumps her baby at some persons home who has nothing to do with her giving birth. But the silly argument is that if one is anti abortion, they therefor must then collect baby clothing and food and care for the child. This is nonsense.

Saying a child is grateful for being born is talking about children, a zygote has no brain capacity and will never become a person..... A zygote is not the same as a person. You are the one who said the gov should control certain personal behaviors.....so why not tell males they shouldn’t waste their sperm and make masturbation illegal...after all they are destroying a potential person.
