It's quite incredible, I know. But apparently a huge number of Brits didn't want Brexit for just that reason. Worried it might interfere with their travel plans. Such deep and caring individuals.
WORK IN PROGRESS Boris was laughable as a journalist covering the EU in Brussels, by the account of some who worked with him. He was always beyond the fringe - but that helped him when he decided to "do politics" as a profession in the UK. I am surprised at the support he gets. I've always thought that the UK was overly-proud of its monarchic-past. And I enjoy the current series running here in France about "Victoria". The lady had plenty of spunk. But, when it comes to economics, the Brits - I find - do not understand that having a "insular mentality" nowadays is simply not acceptable of any singular country in Europe. The EU is what has been said since the inception of the Common Market. It is a combination of nations that should be One-State economically in order to further the well-being of all*. Rather than continually fighting with one another via money-exchanges for the "better exchange rate than thy neighbor". The EU does not presently have the "national identity" as does the US. It will get there one day, but likely needs another generation or two. It is still "work-in-progress" ... *Which is not just an idle statement but a cardinal rule of economics.
On the contrary, I predict fewer. Everyone knows the EU had a lot of bureaucrats doing jobs that didn't really need to be done. Centralisation certainly did not eliminate jobs overall, but seemed to create more of them.
