Why don't you read all those cases the SCOTUS cited and tell the class?

 

By two orders of magnitude, more people are murdered with handguns than any other class of firearm.
75% of police officers killed in the line of duty (that is, murdered) were killed with handguns.
Clearly, handguns are the hands-down winner where danger to society and/or police officers is concerned.
