Tull, ELP/Greg Lake, Paul Rodgers/Free/Bad Company, Frank Zappa, King Crimson/Robert Fripp, Warren Zevon. all are far more deserving than some of the crap we have seen inducted or NON rockers like NWA and while Stevie Nicks deserved to be in there with Fleetwood Mac, her solo career is no where near as impressive as Zappa, Zevon, etc. Don't get me started on Kiss or the Beastie boys etc

J Jack Straw (one of the last ones I could find with Garcia-in the 70s this was usually an opening number-as it was when i saw them in New Haven in 78)

While I disagree with that appraisal-- to each, their own. We can, though, possibly enjoy some of the same music.

I haven't listened to Debra Harry in years, but she had some all right songs, back when. I actually used to like the Rockbird album, but I think her star was already beginning its decline, at that point. The disc came out in '86, but I'd not been aware of any of its songs, from the radio; I later found the record, for $1, in a NYC music store.

@Andrew Jackson , I see you are also fan, so I wouldn't you want to miss the post, if you'd care to join us, on our trip to the '80s.

Note: these songs were a reply, & so out of sequence-- we're still queued up, for "K."

What the hell, I might as well include a Blondie encore. There's some pretty cool sax, at the end of this one. And no, @Mr. July , I'm sorry, that was not a typo, -- I said "cool sax."

At least there are no pyramids or mad scientists, in this video. Not that it isn't a bit weird-- a woman French kisses a dinosaur-- but it is fairly entertaining (and it was the '80s).

Reminder: "K," is still the letter on deck.

I'm going to double up on the letter "O." This is a song that I'd always thought, for whatever reason, was done by the group, 10cc. Actually, I have recently discovered, this classic is by Three Dog Night (well, at least I'd been right, about there being a numerical element, in their name).

I'm not a fan of the group, but this song has a pretty good groove. And if you can't get a smile out of seeing the members of Depeche Mode, all dressed up as cowboys, you must be having one pretty rotten day.
