By 2021, TANAP will additionally fill 25 billion cubic meters. m of gas a year from the second stage of the Shah-Deniz-2 field, operated by the British company BP. The grandiose nature of the "Southern Gas Corridor" is that it provides a design capacity of up to 60 billion cubic meters. m per year for gas from Turkmenistan and Iran. Washington is well aware that the realization of gas supplies bypassing Russia can bring down the one-sided economy of Russia much more effectively than sanctions.
