I’ve experienced spiritualism for several years that I cannot control or get to stop. It has been considered a mental disorder by societal phsycologists. It’s become a problem by negatively affecting my professional life. It has continually refuted science and produced delusional, lying thoughts.
I’m not sure if anyone has experience like this for advice. I don’t know how to stop it other than wait for time or certain events or settlements to occur. It’s extremely unnatural, frustrating and negatively affecting.

What are you talking about, Kari?

What do you mean by, "I’ve experienced spiritualism...?"

Certain provoked thoughts that I thought that there might have been spirits manipulating my thoughts almost like the Harry Potter world analogy theory. Almost like people have spirits that can act if wanted or needed within them.

    Wild guesses:

    1. The Jinn
    2. Problem with permeability at the blood/brain membrane barrier. Hydrogenated fats in the diet.
    3. Synergistic effect of air pollution and hidden food allergy.
    4. Stray electromagnetic effects. Living too close to massive transmission lines. Old house wiring that has split some of the pairs of wire circuits. Three-way light switches wired with makeshift cable pairs instead of "triplex" cable.
    5. Unresolved karma from previous lifetime(s).
    6. Multiple personality disorder.

Nice. This is probably the most close to a helpful answer that I've received. I do take Seroquel, by the way.

Do you know if you are much more easily hypnotized than the average person? One investigator who has traveled far and wide suggests that a small percentage of the population has unusual mental capabilities, including what sometimes seems like a "second mind." Another author who is into OOBE reaches a similar conclusion but without the reference to susceptibility to hypnotism.

If the explanation given by that near death experiencer is to your liking... I suggest buying a bottle of olive oil...... consecrate it in the name of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus and wipe some on the door frames and window sills of your home ..........
(actually..... you only need a portion of a bottle really)... you just consecrate what you are going to use as anointing oil)...

    https://www.near-death.com/experiences/exceptional/christian-andreason.html#a08
By inviting Messiah Yeshua - Jesus and the Holy Spirit into your home....... the other spiritual forces tend to run.............. they are vibrating at such a different level they cannot handle being around extreme Light, Truth and Love.

    Here are some other possibilities.

    1. meditation

    2. brain wave modification/enhancement via biofeedback technology

3.find God (or Jesus/become "saved.") and utilize prayer. Some people claim to have obtained relief this way after everything else has failed. Some claim to receive advice/messages from beyond, but alternatively, IMO if this source is not the aforementioned "second mind" then it may be the "higher self" (or "higher selves" according to Robert Monroe in his third book, The Ultimate Journey).

Odds are that it is the drug freaking you out.

Talk to your doctor and adjust it.

As a Christian however I do have to believe in the supernatural and however unlikely it is possible you may have opened yourself up to this.

Have you used a Ouija board lately or something like that?

Hauntings and possession are real, although not very common and it really would take just the right circumstances for that to happen.

You kinda basically have to make yourself open to it for it to occur.

Still, if you ask God for help He has promised He will protect you and no demon can get through that but unless you are totally sincere it won't happen.

Even then, if you are being bothered by these things the fix might still be pretty rough, God doesn't just snap his fingers and make the demons go away, He will, eventually, probably after he showed you a lesson however.

Still, it's probably just the drug.

I was once standing on Haight-Ashbury making Quaballah signs in the air with my fingers. A cop comes up and says, "What are you on?" Then he looked again and said, "Oh, wait. You're a natural."

When I was in school kids thought that I was on drugs, so I finally told them that my brain made LSD naturally.

I didn't use Ouija board, but I had a girlfriend who was an astrologer and a witch, and we were associating with people who had various powers. I ended up converting to Christianity later.

It would be drug if it took place only inside my head. As it is, it corresponds with things that take place outside my head, so it can't be drugs or delusions.

Karri, check with your local U if there are trials of whatever ongoing that would be interested in your situation.

Get your doctor to diagnosis this, so you can get legal ground against employers for trying to dismiss you.

Relaxation breathing exercises and yoga breathing, I have told by many people, helps slow down irrational actions and give the person time to think about future behaviors.

Can you provide a modern documented case of a haunting or possession?

I guess when god allows small children to be abused he must be teaching them a lesson.

    A Ouija board is fake.

Something that you can't deny, verified by the top scientists in the world?

    Of course not.

There is not one example I could post that you wouldn't flaw for something.

Just so, Spooky. An atheist believes in the mythology of no god.

So if it's not the drugs or a possession are you sure you just aren't insane?

I don't mean that in a negative way.

Some sort of retardation of the mental pathways should be considered although since I'm not a doctor I have no idea.

Since you are obviously intelligent maybe you are like Rainman or something.

Talk about a non-sequitur. Do you know what the word mythology means?

You probably believe in the mythology of no Easter Bunny - see how absurd that sounds.

I offer the same challenge to you I do to all you people. Provide the proof of your claims.

Malachi Martin wrote Hostage to the Devil, which documented several cases from the last century.

No one on this board will be able to accurately diagnose something like that...whether it is mental illness, a neurological condition or something evil. I believe in evil and I believe people can be targeted by evil entities. I believe that our faith and trust in God protects from attacks where rejecting God can open us up and make us vulnerable. I recommand you get help from this...whether it be a doctor, or/and a priest

I know that standards of proof are different for science and the supernatural, so an atheist's boo is just ignored: it is not of any worth.

Anyone who is psychologically distressed should resort to medical/mental care as well as talking to her clergy.
