The story can be found HERE among many other places.

The guy did it all. Prayers go out to his family and friends. Along with Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, the guy changed pop culture. What say you guys?

A true legend. He will be greatly missed. I was hoping to meet him one more time at a convention before he passed.

It's the kind of people which will be remembered in the next centuries I suppose. It's sad but happy too. He had a long, apparently happy life. Isn't it wonderfull ?

What a run he had. It is rare that a visionary is universally celebrated in their life. He birthed so many heroes, with such noble ideals. So many villains who held their own ideals, not just simple "this guy is just evil". They had their own tragic ideologies. Thanos is a perfect example. Now, originally thanks was sort of just trying to get the attention of the personification of death, which the movies have left out, but underlying his mission to kill half of the universe was that it was a humanitarian thing to do. People struggle, starve, fight for resources, because there isnt enough to go around. Randomly destroy half of the beings, everyone lives in luxury.

He was so important to our culture. I cannot see another stan the man in the foreseeable future.

    Excelsior!

And to think how many characters and how much pop culture wouldn't exist without him....

I had always preferred Marvel to D.C. and that's because Stan Lee made superheroes human as well as super. My childhood thanks him. 'nuff said.

As a kid in the 70s, comic books, Sears catalog, Casey Kasem and some 45s bought from the jukebox company made up most of the pop culture we had. Today, children of all income strata have supercomputers in their hands. Stan Lee got to watch this exponential increase in middle class prosperity and entertainment over the years, often excluded from acknowledgement of his role in it. In the end he got his due praise and probably some $$ for his family too. Long life and got to see his creations expanded in ways he likely would have never imagined in the early days.

Y'know - just think of what he did back in 1961 with The Fantastic Four. Reed's saying let's go to the moon, and Ben saying no way, that rocket will get us killed! and in the end the three people who were wrong got glitzy powers and the one person who was right about the radiation shielding got turned into a monster - and it was his best friends fault! Up until that point, super-heroes were absolutely perfect, flawless people and now they've got feet of clay. Small wonder Marvel took off like a rocket back in the day.

Stan was one of the great Titans, along with George Burns and Betty White. Icons who remained active and beloved to the end. Now only Betty remains.

Fake news. As a joke he hated the words "Comic Books". He thought it should be "Comicbooks".

That’s gonna be a rough cameo to watch when Avengers 4 comes out next year.

This is a tough one for me. Comics were a huge help in a rather lonely social life growing up.

Honestly though, I'm kind of glad for him. It doesn't sound like life was all that fun once his wife died and a lot of the vultures seemed to move in on him.

    Are you a Spiderman aficionado?

If so, a little trivia for you (Or anyone else that wants to chime in)...

Spiderman got a "Reward" for his catching the bad guys and such.

And he got it each and every time he did.

    What was that "Reward"?
