Is it worth it to risk infecting people to avoid offending people?

Starbucks never should've sent out the invitation to become like the gas station bathroom in a drug infested neighborhood.

Sounds like a great idea for people who have medically necessary insulin injections.

Collect DNA off the needles. These drug addicted criminals are bound to commit other crimes. Create a database

More like common sense. It's a plastic disposal bin. It shouldn't make your life any more difficult, but is good for employees.

Look, as a disabled person, I’m all for making accommodations for people, but this is just utter insanity.

I was hoping someone would step up and defend this. Not a position I would ever want to defend.

    "Good for employees"

Having a portion of these hazardous items placed in a safer container to accommodate drug users and reduce the risk of infection for employees DOES NOT HELP EMPLOYEES. The best you can hope for is:

Its bad for employees to have to deal with a bio hazard and this only makes it "less bad".

Not to mention that putting up a sharps disposal container sends a clear message to drug users. "You are welcome here"

What message does it send to paying customers?

    Exactly.

Still, I am surprised that it took so long for Starbucks to install used needle receptacles.

Hazardous waste disposal is not cheap. Personally, I rather piss outside the restroom then in it once druggies start disposing their needles there.

It's the leftist world we live in. Things have been drifting in this idiotic direction since the 1960's.
