No vote, no cooperation. As it should be.

His attorney Robert Luskin said Tuesday morning he has no choice but to comply.

Take an actual floor vote and start an ACTUAL impeachment proceeding instead of your “inquiry” kabuki theater.

If they did and prevailed it would give Republicans rights such as calling witnesses.

The longer Pelosi holds off on a vote the more Trump has to impede the investigation and the more information comes out from other whistle-blowers. More border-line Republicans start to waver, and she just needs a couple to cross the line.

I don't like Pelosi, but she isn't stupid.

This seems like an incredibly short sighted strategy.

The Impeachment Inquiry already has the support from a majority of the House members and there is plenty of damaging information already out in the public realm. Preventing people from testifying just reeks of obstruction, and provides zero benefit especially in light of the fact that this guy was almost certainly going to defend Trump. After all, he is the one who tried to take the conversation off the record after making sure to echo the trump talking point.

So what does Pelosi gain by rushing her members back from their districts to vote? Just let the obstruction continue to build and yell from the rooftop about the available evidence and obstruction, then get the members to vote.

And then what does the White House do?

Are Dems back in the "if they have nothing to hide, they should welcome an investigation" camp? Why doesn't that apply to Biden/Obama?

NO VOTE? NO SUBPOENAS SHOULD BE HONORED.

This is nothing more than the Democratic Party abusing the system and their Orwellian Press repeating their leaks, propaganda, and lies.

That's the whole point. The dem clown show is lying to the public about subpoena's and obstruction since there is no official impeachment inquiry. That is the game.

Where does the Constitution require a house vote before the impeachment inquiry can be considered valid?

Only the Judiciary Committee can subpoena and after a vote in the House to proceed with an impeachment inquiry. The only thing the other committees can do is write strongly worded letters with no force of law then lie to the public about subpoena's and obstruction.

That is correct. They have no power of subpoena without a house vote. Everyone can simply ignore them if they so choose. They are all propaganda and no bite.

Says the guy whose proof of his claim is a demand that someone else prove him wrong.

"In this Congress, the House majority already has unilateral subpoena power, a rule change that was made when Republicans last controlled the House, so Democrats don't need to pass any resolution to grant those powers."
