    I don't give a rat's ass about "the 1%". I don't love them and I don't hate them.

What I'm against is income redistribution from the upper middle class (incomes $75,000 to $150,000) to the lower class.

These so called 'think tanks' such as Brookings Inst. and others who formulate our foreign policy, are lobbyists in that their policy is wrapped around their own self interests and being sold to the public by a compliant media as necessary for our security. Our policy doesn't represent the American people, or it wouldn't have to be sold to them by the MSM with lies and propaganda. It's this lack of objectiveness on the part of the policy makers that has caused the failure of our foreign policy over and over again - and at the loss of millions of lives.

Since these policy makers, and especially the neo cons have failed over and over again, they should resign - but their arrogance hinders them.

Nope. You just made up the illegals are part of the equation... but you actually don't know that, but it serves your agenda.

    I do know

Illegals suck up tax dollars and depress wages

They are a big reason for the poverty rate in America

You made your idea that these illegals are included in the statistic all up without any source to back up.

For all you know, this report is only about US citizens. You just made up that it is not.
I asked you to source your claim.

Poverty among US citizens is caused in part by illegal aliens

They take jobs and drive down wages for Americans

Voters should eliminate incumbency by voting out every incumbent candidate. It is the voters' fault.

Why pull funding from an organization that we own most of the time. It is pathetically ignorant folks living in the fantasy world "US is always right" or the ones that are promoting this false narrative that whine and scream like babies in the rare cases that the UN does not bow down and worship the almighty all knowing world bully.

Like I said, we should have pulled out of the UN decades ago.

I question authority for allowing so many illegals to remain in this country

No, thats what I’ve been trying to tell you all along

Liberals demand open borders for illegals which brings in millions of new poor people

Then they are outraged by the number of poor people in America

We don't need to use the UN. Never have.

    Leave the UN

    And leave NATO

We have too many poor people. I see alot of socialist yip yap in this thread. Forget about wealth distribution. Progressive leftism is dead in America. DEAD

But we can stop giving the world our money.

If a socialist corrupt globalist nutter from the UN says we have too many poor people? How can we give so much away? I'm listening to him.

    Time to close the books!

Poverty in the United States is defined very specifically in the US and when you compare it to most of the rest of the world, even the poor in the United States are living like Kings

"The Census Bureau uses a set of money income thresholds that vary by family size and composition to determine who is in poverty. The 2010 figure for a family of 4 with no children under 18 years of age is $22,541, while the figure for a family of 4 with 2 children under 18 is $22,162."

This equals about $15.44 per day.

For some reason however, the world bank uses a very different scale of poverty for the rest of the world, putting $3.10 per day.

So even those in "Poverty" in the United States, are living over 5 time better than a vast majority of the entire planet.

In fact, one third of the planet lives off less than $2.00 per day.

Poverty in the US is pretty funny when you think about it, a lot of the poor need to travel to other countries and see what real poverty is

Thats very frustrating to me too, we give away so much money to other countries (and a lot of that is taken by corrupt bureaucrats during the process) where we could be fixing our own people here.

It is why the "America First" thing being said by Trump resonates so much with a lot of the country

Going even further, the way with which we define countries that live in poverty is so apples to oranges that artilces like the OP's are just a joke to even consider and basically just attacks against the US.

    For example.

In China, the poverty line (Remember, in the US it is considered to be living on less than or equal to $15.44 per day) is considered for those living off of $1.90 American Dollars per day.

That apples to oranges screwed comparison makes all of this nothing but complete BS.

I would be curious to see what population of China lives off of $15.44 per day or less.

EVERY SINGLE STATISTIC INVENTED that has to do with this kinda stuff is basically to try to bash on America and how horrible of a place it is and how horrible Capitalism is. It is such a joke

But thats just totally off topic. This is about the poverty in the US. And you claimed the poor are illegal aliens. But you can't prove that they are included in the report.
