If he can run again he will say he won whether he did or not and try to repeat his failed coup in 2025. This will likely start a civil war. He probably won't win but it could cause a lot of damage.

 

"Failed coup"? LOLOL... an unarmed, disorganized little band occupying ONE BUILDING isn't a coup. A coup takes coordination of a lot more folks, taking over command and control assets, military facilities, communications centers, transportation hubs and more. Biden armed the terrorist Taliban.
Trump allowed terminal patients to use drugs not fully tested that might offer hope.
Biden killed pipeline jobs and US energy independence.
Trump got us back in space on US-made rockets.
Biden got 13 US Soldiers killed at the Kabul airport.
Trump made us energy-independent.
Biden has the price of gas going through the roof.

It's just an unconstitutional indictment. It won't go anywhere. Bannon wasn't in office Jan 6 and congress has no powers under the constitution to subpoena private citizens. I doubt he will show up to court. Maybe he'll hang out in Florida and play golf with Trump instead.

 

Steve can coordinate the next "ethnostate reach" from the Big House. Everything is already in place unless the DOJ, FBI and NSA are on it.

This seems like an investigation with kind of flimsy basis. I don't blame them for not wanting to testify in this political charade circus.

Plus anything they say might be twisted and construed to constitute supposed evidence of something illegal. That is, they'll then claim something to be illegal that should not be illegal, since wording of the law is often vague and open to possible interpretation.

 

I think you made a Freudian slip. You just admitted that you don't actually think he's guilty just that you wish to abuse the justice system to stop your political opponent running again? Is that right Mr Putin?

Trump doesn't have to appear, he just has to send the clip of him telling his supporters to protest "peacefully and patriotically".

Being subpoena'd and being legally required to answer a subpoena against your constitutional first amendment right are two different things.

 

Congress can subpoena government employees, not private citizens. That's the law.

 

Congress can only subpoena government employees for the purpose of fulfilling their constitutional duties in overseeing federal institutions. This doesn't relate at all to Steve Bannon because he was not a federal employee. He was an elected officials under executive privilege. During the Jan 6th he was a private citizen and so in either case, he is protected by his first amendment rights or executive privilege.
