This documentary of a Japanese couple sheds light on the experience of Japan's working poor, and the unique culture of repressed frustration.

Lack of good paying jobs and affordable housing puts strain on relationships, causes social isolation, leads to depression and, in some cases, suicide.

Although Japan is one of the "wealthiest" countries in the world, economic conditions are very difficult for most of its people, partly because of the extreme cost of land/renting.
