    Maybe you broke it.
In which case it's gonna hurt even worse, and soon you'll be unable to walk, and then you'll get to go to the hospital and they'll put a cast on it and when you ask for painkillers look at you like a junkie and tell you to take ibuprofen and then charge you $1000 and another $1000 for two ibuprofen which won't work

    Oh,,,,feels better now?

    :)
Getting better but still hurts, though a little less
This is like the worst I ever hit it in my whole life.

Seriously , are you sure it's not broken? An x-ray isn't all that costly really and if you have a toe heal badly it can give you a limp

Years ago I had a pallette weighing several tons run over my foot. Crushed a steel toed boot and broke all the bones in my toes. Doctor said I would have lost it if not for the steel toe. Didn't hurt when it happened as it just sort of numbed everything but hurt LOTS later and still aches from time to time.

I can walk without limping and it doesn’t hurt when I walk. It hurts when I squeeze it with my hand or if someone steps on it (my 1 year old just did :disbelief:). I think it’s a bruise. I have health insurance, so if it gets worse I’ll go to urgent care, but so far it’s getting better.

Thanks for the concern though! :)

A broken toe is no big deal. Unless there is bone sticking out just tape it to the toe next to it. Any level of pain can be endured.

    There is a solution

    1) Stop squeezing it.
    2) Stop letting anyone step on it.

    Problems solved.

It’s all history now - toe completely healed. :)
It did hurt like the world was ending first two days.

Isn't it crazy that we keep stubbing the same toe? It's like biting your lip. Once you do it, you keep doing it. You do it in public and you make faces each time, people think you're losing it. They spread out.

Hope it's better by now. We don't want you getting all cranky when you post :)
    Anyway, here's the best advice:
