STUDY: Cable News Is a Playground for Congressional Democrats

A new study by the Media Research Center finds that CNN and MSNBC host Democratic Representatives and Senators seven times more frequently than their Republican counterparts, and most often use Democratic talking points to question members of both parties.



Republican guests faced a total of 310 questions, just over half of which (156, or 50%) could be classified as reflecting the agenda of one party or the other. Of those, 152 (97%) reflected an adversarial/Democratic agenda, compared to a mere four (2.5%) based on a friendlier, Republican agenda.

For Democrats, the terrain was far more hospitable. Of 660 questions identified as having a partisan tilt (out of 1,653 total questions), 535 (81%) were based on a friendly Democratic agenda, while the remaining 125 (19%) asked the Democrats to respond to an adversarial/Republican agenda.

This is just one of the huge ways the MSM, CNN, and MSNBC attempt to help the Democratic Party. They should be charged for free advertisement they give to Democrats.

They refuse to cover stories that hurt Democrats with any veracity, they use Democratic Party talking points with all guests, they have on 7X the Democrats vs. Republicans.

This isn't a news media. This is a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party.

Confirming what those of us who watch/listen to the news shows already know.

 

The MSM have been politicized.

From the hacked DNC and Podesta emails that were published by Wikileaks, CNN was exposed being in collusion with the DNC and so were MSNBC and the NYT. was in collusion with the Hillary campaign.

 

I can't even watch my local news for weather traffic without them mentioning Trump's racist 50 times every morning.

 

I have Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, POTUS, Patriot and Fox Busness speed button on my car sat radio. CNN, MSNBC I can't stand for more than a couple of minutes, Trump racist 24/7. Potus sometimes, Smerconish in morning. Network news on cable, I could lose all those channels and never miss them except for what sports they still cover.

 

Now do a graph showing the number of offers to come on the channel, I would love to see if the percentages hold.

You realize these places cannot force legislators onto their channel, correct?

 

You can watch the shows for a while and figure that out.

What's interesting is the reason they can get away with such blatant one-sidedness and still be considered legitimate news sources. I have some theories but not 100% sure to be honest.

Then those rich repubs need to buy more cable channels and major broadcasting companies...

In the old days News Departments use to be totally independent
in the corporate chart. Cronkite. Huntley - Brinkley, Severeid, etc.

Today News is just another square under the corporate CEO.

There is likely some trash websites, that are on par with cnn, msnbc, et al but nobody takes them seriously
