NO, Pro-Choicers do not want to "off them" before they are born and YOU AS USUAL have no proof they do.

Pro-Choicers want women to retain the right to their own bodies, the right to CHOOSE.

    Fattest state?

Dear Gods and little fishes but have I hit yet another who does not realise that obesity is a sign of malnutrition?

Criminalising abortion only leads to a rise in maternal and infant mortality

What does that have to do with what I'm sauing?

The opening post pointed out that states with anti abortion laws have the worst women's health.

I pointed out those states have the highest obesity rates, which is obviously what causes that, nothing to do with abortion at all.

Wow! Able to diagnose a complex sociomedical problem with one wild guess!

It's super obvious. Obesity is the number one health problem in the US. It's hardly a wild guess.

What you would have to show to prove the abortion hypothesis is that womens health problems in those states are significantly worse than mens health problems in comparison to thinner states.

There isn't anything like that there, so the supposed correlation in the OP is the wild guess backed up by nothing. The correlation with obesity is backed up by decades of science.

That is your opinion but I would prefer a critique of the methodology underpinning the conclusions within the article before I will concede you are correct

It's a matter of fact. The organization has a left leaning bias and is known for framing their articles to lead people to a certain conclusion.
You are correct however before the article can be taken at face value. The study needs to be critiqued. Until then the article is pure leftist bs.

No that is NOT a critique of the methodology underpinning the conclusions

Now before you say anything I am very well aware that correlation does not necessarily equal causation

No, my comment was only meant to display the fact that a critique is needed. Nothing more.

I'm not going to do it.
The burden of proof is on the accuser not the accused. This article accuses states of being bad for women based on their stand on abortion. It's their point to prove. The article didn't do it.

No you made the claim that it is not a valid study you have to prove YOUR allegation. I am not doing your homework for you.

And honestly you expect me to prove YOUR point? All I would do is double down on why I respect the validity of the report with points such as

    A) referenced to peer reviewed research
    B) correlating and validated by research published elsewhere (see post above)
    C) easily verifiable by reviewing data kept within the CDC archives........

No i said the source was bias and unreliable. That's all i said.

Also peer reviewed is a meaningless term.

It would be my hope your interest would be getting at the truth regardless of what the conclusion meant to either side of the debate.

And you have not proven your allegation

And peer review is a well respected mechanism to validate research

No it's what passes for peer review these days of politically motivated psuedo science.
