Your choice not others. Don't expect those who are forced to live in a violent dangerous society to be at the mercy of those with guns who want to do them harm.
That's ghetto talk if you come to think about it. Moi r > g Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic, regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.
I'm glad someone bothers to cite the actual truth. More death by Suicide with guns over homicide. You'll NEVER hear that in the MSM or particularly CNN and MSNBC.
And far more people died from falling down in that same time period. Even more died from crashing their cars. But something tells me you are not overly concerned with those deaths.
I believe motorcycles should be banned. I do not drive a car -- I believe driving under the influence of my condition is unreasonable. Being Autistic I have Attention Deficit.
That being in the eyes of Catholic Church Doctrine. Where even contemplating " Suicide " is a grave mortal sin.If one has a mortal sin when they die they cannot go to Heaven. Therefore the need for a Priest to administer Last Rites. Which in effect reconciles to God,forgiveness of ones sinning. All mortals have sins.Small sinning is Venial and major sinning is Mortal. A mortal sin deprives ones Soul of/from Divine Grace. Just so you'all knowed.
Good luck banning motorcycles. I saw a good piece of the country camping off a used Yamaha Big Bear Scrambler on back roads. But that was many moons ago. I soon had a sense that people were driving worser and worser and quit. When my cousin got scrambled to death on his Harley in a Miami intersection I knew that decision was right for me. btw it would have been a very bad idea to walk into my camp unannounced in the night. But for those who have the courage to ride, there are few freedoms that compare to a motorcycle. Motorcycles will not be banned, not going to happen.
You are 35 times more likely to die while riding a motorcycle, than driving a car. I used to ride and even thought about getting a bike again. But not now. I didn't know they were that more dangerous than cars. I am basically a social libertarian and believe it should be a choice. But I wonder if the risk is properly compensated. What is the cost to society - how much am I paying for bikers with brain injuries?
I get the fever every spring. But I'm not going to buy one again. Probably one of the reasons why there is so much mental illness is that life is now too safe, and that extreme safety is totally abnormal on the danger scale of evolution.
Heh, yes, some of us require thrills. I'm not sure that is true for everyone. My entire life is thrill-seeking: My career, my personal life, my history of outdoor activities, somehow I find I am always living on the edge in one way or another. I am damn lucky I never died on a bike or driving a car. I did some CRAZY sht!
I'm lucky I made it to 18, and then was lucky to make it through short stick time and come back to the world a few years later. I still portage my canoe .8 miles to water, but it's just flat water. Had to give up the sea kayak. After four hours my legs fall asleep and somebody has to pull me out, very embarrassing.
My wife recently bought her first gun and I was showing her how to operate it. My 16 year old walked into the room and picked the gun up from the table. He instinctively dropped the magazine and checked the chamber before looking at the gun. My wife was impressed because that is exactly what I had just taught her. My wife has since taken professional courses and is waiting for her license to carry. She shoots almost as well as me. My sons all started shooting handguns at around 8. (Always supervised)
I'm sure you would know all about your neighborhood and its lango ghetto speak but this time your wrong .
To be perfectly clear: No License. No Registration. No Permit to carry, Open or Concealed. High Crime the unlawful discharge of a gun. There are No Accidents. You hold it, it goes off, it's on YOU. Unlawful discharge of a firearm should require some jail time. Even if only a week to remind a gun owner their responsibility. And of course threatening someone with a gun or having a gun in the act of committing a crime counts extra too. That's all. Just to be perfectly clear.
The subject was accidental gun deaths, not gun deaths as a whole. Suicides are irrelevant to this thread. Also, guns and suicide are essentially unrelated. Japan's suicide rate per capita is higher than our combined murder and suicide rate per capita, despite the fact they have no guns.
I am appalled by disregard for fellow Humans who happen to have Severe Depression. I never thought of suicide -- I have Moderate Depression.
