You can say black people have more medals as a racialist claim, because in of itself it’s not making any moral claims. The genetic claim is racist because it’s holding onto the idea that gentic differences are what’s causing it and not socioeconomic conditions.

Amongst other flaws, Lynn used selective data by systematically ignoring Africans with high IQ scores. The researchers also claim that African IQ test scores cannot be interpreted in terms of lower intelligence levels, as these scores have different psychometric characteristics than western IQ test scores. Until now, the incomparability of Western and African IQ scores had never been systematically proven.

 

So you in denial that there are genetic differences based on ethnicity?

 

The differences between two races is smaller than the difference between people in the same race. Literally, ethnic identity had been made up in some cases. Think the USSR and their passports.

You make them racialist claims. You can say something like there is a racial disparity between white and black people. That in of itself is just a fact. It’s when you introduce other ideas that makes it racist. For example saying something like the reason there is a disparity between white and black people is because white people are more intelligent than black people.

 

That’s a gentic fact. The genetic difference between two races, is less than the genetic difference between races. Heck we have a lot genetically in common with bananas. Doesn’t mean much.

 

So you can note the differences, you just can't try to explain them or advance theories on why there are differences?

 

In essence? No. That there is the basic difference. You can explain why there are differences. Heck racism is a way of explaining differences that has been thoroughly disproven. What matters is how you explain the difference.

 

The IQ to some extent depends on the test used to measure it. I doubt that there are many IQ tests appropriate for uneducated sub Saharan Africans despite their ability to reason.

Or it can be acknowledged as simply being just one more aspect of the human element, accept such as being an immutable fact that can never be done away with, and move onto more pertinent matters in need of being addressed.

These graphs are of course a great generalization- while they apply to a huge group, they don't apply to any particular individual- but would apply to the medians of all individuals there. IF they are accurate.

One way of establishing a corollary to check this is to look at the level of advancement and development in the nations. Their infrastructures, their educational systems, the quality of life improvements- their success at recognizing problems, finding solutions, building a successful modern world society. Those things require and are the result of intelligence, as well as ambition. Education isn't only obtained from formal institutions either, it is transferred between people- thus skills and knowledge may be shared between progressive people and generations, each one advancing and improving the knowledge base- IF they have the capacity. Thus in the bigger picture, it would also seem that the level of accomplishments of a nation would tend to align with the levels of intelligence and capacity of the people inhabiting it. Look at those charts again- and it appears they do exactly that. The estimates of the IQ's correlate to the developments of the country they are assigned to.

There are a few places in the world where remote pockets of tribal people have never come into contact with the modern world- and haven't advanced or developed in any way at all for thousands of years.
IF Europeans had never ventured into Africa- what are the chances that would be the situation there today? That calls for speculation, but not without foundation.
