Isn't the last name Bublé french and NOT italian?

michael buble keeps saying his last name comes from his italian ancestors (which could be true) but the last name buble doesn't sound even a bit italian, and this comes from a full blooded italian. So please does anybody know if the last name is indeed french and not italian? I don't care about michael bublé's ancestors whatsoever, I just want to know if the last name is actually french. thanks!

I've never, ever heard the last name Buble before Michael Buble. I am guessing it is an alteration of an Italian name. When people came to the US from Europe, often the immigration officials simplified their names on their documents. Or some people chose to change their own names to blend in better.

I cannot find a common Italian surname that sounds like Bublé.

It could be a variant spelling of the surname Bubier, possibly of French origin; there are a small number of bearers in the British Isles, whence the name may have been brought to the U.S.

But then I found this on an online forum :

"Michael's mother stated in the forum that the Buble name comes from Istria. Well, Istria has always been Croatian (although it was temporarily ceded to Italy from 1918-1945 (the population however was still nominally Croatian); Just like the name Buble. In her statement she also does not deny or refute the claim that Michael's heritage is half Croatian; something she easily could have done."

"It's true, his great grandparents did begin to place the accent mark above the Buble name after coming to Canada. There's no logical explanation or reason for it if they were Italian. Like I said, my mother went to school with his great aunt (the daughter of Michael's great grandfather) who admitted she was Croatian. Also, my grandfather knew his great grandfather, spoke to him in his native Croatian tongue. My mother also remembers Michael's great grandfather. They were not Italian. My explanation concerning the adding of the french "egu" above the "e" to his last name also makes more logical sense as well when tying it into his Croatian heritage. Like I stated before, Michael might not even know, I don't think he does."

"Fact: Buble is a Croatian Surname from the Coastal Region of Croatia. Fact: Michael's family comes from the coastal region of Croatia . If my grandfather and mother never knew his former relatives I would not state this claim."

And indeed, most people called Buble, outside of the US, seem to come from Croatia :

The Roanoke Colony, also known as the Lost Colony, was the first attempt at founding a permanent English settlement in North America. It was established in 1585 on Roanoke Island in what is today's Dare County, North Carolina. The colony was sponsored by Sir Walter Raleigh, although he himself never set foot in it.

The initial settlement was established in the summer of 1585, but a lack of supplies and bad relations with the local Native Americans caused many of its members to return to England with Sir Francis Drake a year later, leaving behind a small detachment. These men had all disappeared by the time a second expedition led by John White, who also served as the colony's governor, arrived in July 1587. White, whose granddaughter Virginia Dare was born there shortly thereafter (making her the first English child born in the New World), left for England in late 1587 to request assistance from the government, but was prevented from returning to Roanoke until August 1590 due to the Anglo-Spanish War. Upon his arrival, the entire colony was missing with only a single clue to indicate what happened to them: the word "CROATOAN" carved into a tree.

    1930s
    • [IMG] September 25, 1932: the Panair do Brasil Sikorsky S-38 registration P-BDAD, still bearing the titles of Nyrba do Brasil, was seized in the company's hangar by three men, who took a fourth as hostage. None were aviators but they managed to take off in the plane. However, the aircraft crashed in São João de Meriti, killing the four men. Apparently the hijacking was related to the events of the Constitutionalist Revolution in São Paulo, and it is considered to be the first Brazilian plane hijacking.[2][3]
    1940s
    • [IMG][IMG] July 25, 1947: An internal Romanian flight from Bucharest to Craiova was hijacked by three army officers seeking political asylum from communist Romania. The airplane landed at Çanakkale in Turkey. During hijacking the flight mechanic, Mitrofan Bescioti, was shot by lieutenant Aurel Dobre.[4]
    • [IMG][IMG] June 30, 1948: A domestic flight from Varna to Sofia was hijacked by Anti-Communists. The plane landed in Istanbul. The pilot was killed in the struggle.[5]
    • [IMG][IMG] July 16, 1948: Miss Macao, a seaplane, was hijacked in an attempted robbery and then crashed into the Pearl River Delta. The crash killed 25 of the 26 passengers and crew. The lead hijacker was the only survivor.
    • [IMG][IMG] September 13, 1948: A T.A.E. commercial flight from Athens to Thessaloniki was hijacked from six young communists who asked the pilots to fly to Yugoslavia. The airplane landed near Skopje and, after the hijackers departed, the airplane returned to Greece. The 1987 film The Noose is based on this story

    1950s
    • [IMG][IMG] March 24, 1950: three Douglas DC-3s from Czechoslovakia were simultaneously hijacked by former Czech Royal Air Force pilots seeking asylum in the West. Most of the hijackers were the crew of all three aircraft. All three planes landed at the US Air Force Base at Erding, West Germany. 26 of 85 passengers stayed in West Germany to escape from the Communist regime in Czechoslovakia. This was the first incident of mass hijacking in aviation history.[8][9][10][11][12]
    • [IMG] July 13, 1956: seven young Hungarian students, armed with nothing more than plastic wrenches, hijacked a small domestic aircraft out of Budapest and landed it at a NATO base in West Germany to escape from behind the Iron Curtain.
    • [IMG][IMG] December 2, 1959: the Panair do Brasil Lockheed L-049/149 Constellation, registration PP-PCR, operating flight 246 en route from Rio de Janeiro – Santos Dumont to Belém, with 44 passengers and crew aboard, was seized and hijacked by officers of the Brazilian Air Force and made to land at Aragarças, Goiás. Their intention was to use the aircraft in a bombing of Government buildings in Rio de Janeiro, thereby starting a revolt against President Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira. The revolt faded after 36 hours and the aircraft was commanded to fly to Buenos Aires where the hijackers requested asylum. There were no casualties

All passengers, including the band Harper's Bizarre and three stewardesses, were released in Denver. The hijacker, three pilots and a stewardess continued on to JFK airport in New York, where two pilots were added for the overseas flight. The plane refueled in Bangor, Maine and Shannon, Ireland, before continuing to Rome, Italy. In Rome, Minichiello took the chief of the airport police as a hostage and departed in a car, from which he slipped away, but was caught shortly thereafter.[24] Minichiello intended to visit his dying father in Italy. Italy did not extradite Minichiello and he served only 18 months in jail.[25] Covering 6,900 miles, this was the longest hijacking in history.
    • November 10, 1969: The youngest American on record to attempt to hijack a plane when a Delta Air Lines flight en route from Cincinnati to Chicago was hijacked by 14-year-old David Booth. US Attorney George Kline of Lexington, Kentucky declined to prosecute Booth saying that the federal government did not have facilities to handle prosecution of juveniles.[26]

On November 10, 1969, David Booth set another record. The 14-year-old was the youngest person in history to attempt a hijacking when he tried to commandeer a Delta Airlines flight from Cincinnati to Chicago. The U.S. Attorney’s office, under whose jurisdiction the crime fell, declined to prosecute Booth, saying it didn’t have the resources to prosecute a juvenile.

The Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia(no. 17) was an autonomous kingdom within Austria-Hungary created in 1868 following the Croatian-Hungarian Settlement

The initial settlement was established in the summer of 1585, but a lack of supplies and bad relations with the local Native Americans caused many of its members to return to England with Sir Francis Drake a year later, leaving behind a small detachment. The Ottoman Empire further expanded in the 16th century to include most of Slavonia, western Bosnia (then called Turkish Croatia) and Lika. Ottoman Croatia initially was part of Rumelia Eyalet, and later was parts of Budin Eyalet, Bosnia Eyalet and Kanije Eyalet.

Later in the same century, Croatia was so weak that its parliament authorized Ferdinand Habsburg to carve out large areas of Croatia and Slavonia adjacent to the Ottoman Empire for the creation of the Military Frontier (Vojna Krajina, German: Militaergrenze) which would be ruled directly from Vienna's military headquarters.[30] The area became rather deserted and was subsequently settled by Serbs, Vlachs, Croats and Germans and others. As a result of their compulsory military service to the Habsburg Empire during conflict with the Ottoman Empire, the population in the Military Frontier was free of serfdom and enjoyed much political autonomy, unlike the population living in the parts ruled by Hungary.

The Ottoman Turks (or Osmanlı Turks, Turkish: Osmanlı Türkleri) were the Turkish-speaking population of the Ottoman Empire who formed the base of the state's military and ruling classes. Reliable information about the early history of Ottoman Turks is scarce, but they take their Turkish name, Osmanlı ("Osman" being corrupted in some European languages as "Ottoman"), from the house of Osman I (reigned ca. 1299–1326), the founder of the dynasty that ruled the Ottoman Empire for its entire 624 years.

Osman I or Osman Gazi (Ottoman Turkish: عثمان غازى‎, translit. ʿOsmān Ġāzī; Turkish: Birinci Osman or Osman Gazi; died 1323/4),[1][2] sometimes transliterated archaically as Othman, was the leader of the Ottoman Turks and the founder of the Ottoman dynasty.

Croatia first appeared as a duchy in the late 7th century and then as a kingdom in the 10th century. From the 12th century it remained a distinct state with its ruler (ban) and parliament, but it obeyed the kings and emperors of various neighboring powers, primarily Hungary and Austria.

The period from the 15th to the 17th centuries was marked by bitter struggles with the Ottoman Empire. After being incorporated in Yugoslavia for most of the 20th century, Croatia regained independence in 1991.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Croatia

On the other side, the Croatian Parliament met in Cetin and chose Ferdinand I of the House of Habsburg as new ruler of Croatia, under the condition that he provide protection to Croatia against the Ottoman Empire while respecting its political rights.[24][27][28] A few years later both crown would be again united in Habsburgs hands and the union would be restored.

The House of Habsburg; traditionally spelled Hapsburg in English), also called House of Austria

The House takes its name from Habsburg Castle, a fortress built in the 1020s in present-day Switzerland, in the canton of Aargau, by Count Radbot of Klettgau, who chose to name his fortress Habsburg. His grandson Otto II was the first to take the fortress name as his own, adding "Count of Habsburg" to his title. The House of Habsburg gathered dynastic momentum through the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries.

The House of Habsburg was one of the most influential and distinguished royal houses of Europe. The throne of the Holy Roman Empire was continuously occupied by the Habsburgs from 1438 until their extinction in the male line in 1740. The house also produced emperors and kings of the Kingdom of Bohemia, Kingdom of England (Jure uxoris King), Kingdom of Germany, Kingdom of Hungary, Kingdom of Croatia, Kingdom of Illyria, Second Mexican Empire, Kingdom of Ireland (Jure uxoris King), Kingdom of Portugal, and Kingdom of Spain, as well as rulers of several Dutch and Italian principalities.[dubiousdiscuss] From the 16th century, following the reign of Charles V, the dynasty was split between its Austrian and Spanish branches. Although they ruled distinct territories, they nevertheless maintained close relations and frequently intermarried.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Habsburg

Intermarriages, in The Holy Bible, belonged to the intercourse of Lot, who was nephew to Abraham.

Lot lived in the land of Sodom and was warned of coming danger to which he and his wife and daughters were allowed to flee before the coming destruction. His wife, even though warned not to look back, did look back and was lost. Lot and his daughters continued to safety and it was there, in safety, away from Sodom, isolated, that Lot became drunk and his daughters layed with him and conceived of his children to keep their 'line' alive.

According to Genesis 19:30–38, the ancestor of the Moabites was Lot by incest with his eldest daughter. She and her sister, having lost their fiancés and their mother in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, decided to continue their father's line through intercourse with their father. The elder got him drunk to facilitate the deed and conceived Moab. The younger daughter did the same and conceived a son named Ben-Ammi, who became ancestor to the Ammonites. According to the Book of Jasher(24,24), Moab had four sons—Ed, Mayon, Tarsus and Kanvil—and his wife, whose name is not given, is apparently from Canaan.

Although Osman I is given rights, Otto II might have had some part in The Ottoman Empire?

Otto II (955 – December 7, 983), called the Red (Rufus), was Holy Roman Emperor from 973 until his death in 983. A member of the Ottonian dynasty, Otto II was the youngest and sole surviving son of Otto the Great and Adelaide of Italy.

Tafilah (Arabic: الطفيلة‎) is one of the governorates of Jordan, located about 180 km south-west of Amman, Jordan's capital.

Tafilah Governorate is bordered by Karak Governorate to the north, Ma'an Governorate to the east and south, Aqaba Governorate to the south, and by Israel to the west. The area of this province constitutes 2.5% of the area of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It is divided into three departments. The population as of 2005 is about 82,000 (i.e. 1.6% of Jordan's population in 2005) living in 32 towns and villages across the governorate ( making it the least populated governorate of Jordan).

The population of Tafilah Governorate is estimated to be about 81,000 for the year 2008. The Jordan National Census of the year 2004 shows that Tafilah Governorate had a population of 75,267 in 2004 living in the city of Tafilah and 31 other towns and villages, of whom 73,767 were Jordanian citizens (98%). The male to female ratio was 51 to 49.

Malachai 1:3 "And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness."

    Obadiah 1:

    The Destruction of Edom

1The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.

2Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

3The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

4Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

5If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes?

6How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!

7All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.

8Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?

9And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.

10For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

11In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.

12But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

    13Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;

14Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

What kind of brother does this to a brother?

Proverbs 19:23 "The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil."

Psalm 91:9-10 "Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."

Psalm 92:8 "...thou, LORD, art most high for evermore."

But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

Proverbs 19:23 "The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil."

The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: Life is life regardless of where in The Universe it is.

But of course, Earth is only 1 planet in The Universe and should not be able to affect too many other lifes in The Universe, I do really pray and ask for.

But it seems so amazing to think that on this little 1 planet in The Universe, with lifes that has an average life expectancy of around 70-80 years, that so much Universal attention can be given to it, it seems.

What should get done immediately is looked upon and involved with as if by Hollywood directors more than real persons 'trying' to Establish something they are trying to accomplish. Why do they have to 'try'. Trying is for beginners. Those that live in Heaven don't need to 'try' to accomplish things, they just do.

I just stood there and watched as my brother cried out in calamity. To my own brother. And for what reason? For my pride and my self worth that I thought myself too great and too beyond sheep herders.

Genesis 46:34 "... for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians."

For all the sons of Abraham, son of Terah, were an abomination unto the Egyptians, sons of Mizraim.

This world... Nothing but family troubles.

There are 7.64 Billion family members today. There will be 11.3 Billion in 82 years.

Cincinnati shooting: 'He could've killed over 100 people'

Gunshots and chaos erupted in the heart of Cincinnati's downtown Thursday morning when a man opened fire in the lobby of Fifth Third Center, killing three people and wounding two others.

Dozens of police officers rushed to the scene and exchanged gunfire with the suspect as a crowd of people who had been on their way to work scattered across Fountain Square to safety.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil."

Correct your sons, daughters, brothers, sisters while you can before it's too late for others.

God willing, you will have nice, safe neighbors.

'What's the problem with you all', they yelled. 'Can't you just get along sexually with everyone'?

And so the problems began. Little children didn't have loud enough voices for themselves and so they were as children and not as adults.

'Hi, do you believe in God', asked an adult to a younger one.
'No. I don't. I believe in what my dad believes in and he doesn't believe in God'.

'After all', said the dad, 'Isn't God about family anyways? It is good for my son to not believe upon Him but upon me', he ended.

The world was visited with a plague and they knew it not.

'Come out of her', said the Angel, 'that you not partake of her sins and that you receive not of her plagues'. (Revelation 18:4)

Not too many listened nor thought God was real. They believed upon angels but not God.

And after a plague was cleared out enough for light to be seen, many had received of her plagues and still walked among men and women. They were visited, some received of her plagues and the Angel's warning to 'come out of her' still was applicable. It was now 'come out of her' and 'stay out of her'.
