The number of Syrian refugees who have fled the conflict has reached one million, the UN has said.
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees said the number of people seeking haven in neighbouring countries had jumped since the beginning of the year.
Half of the refugees were children, the UN said, most under the age of 11 and often traumatised by their experiences.
The largest numbers of refugees were seeking shelter in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt.

And the coffee shops in Ramallah are full, everybody drinks coffee and eat Baklawa ...
    Life goes on ...

The happeninings in Syria do not bother the anti-semites of the PF.

I have yet to hear one of them condemn Assad's actions. On the contrary some claim that assad is a democratic choice and the West is to blame.

They are only interested in the jew, ooops, I mean neo-zionist satans.

To me that indicates that they could care less about the sufferring of the arabs.

Their only interest is hatred of Jews.

How else to explain this selective condemnation?

Your comment illustrates to me that you are not attuned to the complexities intrinsic to the geopolitical situation in Syria. It's not simply a case of Assad "bad" on the one hand, and those opposing Assad "good" on the other which is what your post implies.

    Thank you for responding politely.

My post says nothing about good and bad but about whether the jew haters care about the conflict in that region or only about the jews.

They surely do not seem even mildly interested in resolving the conflict killing more of their brothers than the zionist swine are, haven't you noticed?

    Why so?

Well, in Syria the situation is much more complex than it is in Israel/Palestine. Unlike the latter, it's unrealistic to attempt to characterize the former as being a conflict between two opposing forces. In this sense, it's more difficult to set parameters within which blame can be easily attributed. I don't see any evidence that points to people not caring about the plight of the Syrian people.

They would butcher each and every Arab in the ME if it means the end of Israel.

They fear Assad downfall will risk the axis against Israel, for that they are willing to support whatever he does while in Egypt, since Mubarak was a moderate tyrant - they supported the ppl right for freedom! the excuse was Egyptians have a right for freedom! but evidently the Syrians dont....

You're going to blame the terrorists in Syria for the lack of support, that's BS Trout, I remember full well that in the first MONTHS of the uprising, when Assad forces blew the hell up of Hommes, before the resistance even formed, those PF members blamed Israel for everything (even thou the Arab spring didnt skip a country in the ME) and still supported Assad.

That's hypocracy, that's a proof to me that the intersts of the ppl is not really in their minds but who does that leader support, more to the point is he anti-Israel or not.
That's nothing to be proud of, that's hating an enemy more than loving their own ppl.

So it is more complex and that means no one could care less. I see.

I think it is more complex because it doesn't involve Jews.

That is surely a complexity that is uninteresting.

I have heard muslims on the forum justify all the goings on in Syria without a qualm.

They truly couldn't care less. The only conflicts that interest them are the ones they perceive as the fault of the Jew.

Assad is a tyrant who I oppose. However, the situation in Syria is far more complex than it is in Israel/Palestine and so it is not a cut and dried question of attributing blame solely to Assad given this said complexity. I'm all in favour of a genuine bottom-up democratic overthrow of Assad from within Syria. What I won't accept is external "democratic" intervention under the guise of humanitarian interventionism as a cover for Western imperialism underpinned by the brutal hand of the Arab states' of the Gulf peninsula. Many on here share these views.

You haven't established that no one cares less about the plight of the Syrians. I myself care very much about them. The point you are missing is that the complexities are such that it's not simply a case of attributing blame to your demon called Assad.

If you were correct, How come i don't remember a new thread on the subject opened by Muslim / arabs / Palestinian here ?
I have several times tried to get an answer on the Syrian issue but I only received a response
that the terrorists on Syrian soil called Wahabi jihadists are to blame..
NO ONE HERE ( PALESTINIANS ) supported the FSA and the poor civilians there...........
Forums should be filled with opinions about Syria, but arabs only continue to post and comment minor issues regarding Israel :steamed:
