    The specific context of puppet regimes I was referring to is those comprising the Arab League.

    Puppet regimes which attack western ( Israel) allies, fund various anti western Jihad groups are somehow western puppets?

    Would that be the same Jihadists groups America is using to support its NATO campaign and Mercenaries in Libya?

    Oooh....al quada to name but one! Funny that...they destroy the towers but now they are being used to destroy a democratic socialist nation! And to steal more oil!

    Ooooh.....and who was attacking whom?

    Ooooh ......that's right NATO they are bombing the civilian population to protect them!

    Now....they are killing journalists who attempt to report the pogroms being committed by those same NATO forces and they're mercenaries!

    Turn it on its head.....How is USA or UK a democratic nation?

    Prove to me the US and UK the rendition, torture, genocide and assassination programmes are justified!
    We as supposed to be civilised above the basic instincts of an animal! Obviously not in Cheney Bush Pearl, bLiar Brown's and Clegg or Cameron's case!

    And for that......you need to look closer to home.......England or the Whitehouse!

    We have fair elections which are monitored. Seems fair enough. A democratic state can still assassinate and have a decent genocide if they want ( which neither the US or UK have done mind you...)

    The Breivic-lover is clearly confused between "democracy" in terms of "form" and democracy in terms of "outcome"... Perhaps, for example, he would care to explain to this forum how the election of a politician like Blair who took us into war after war and who was elected on less than a quarter of the popular vote, can be described as "democratic"???...

    .... He fails to understand the contradiction between our fighting for "democracy" in far away places on the one hand, and our continued attempts at undermining democracy at home, on the other. So long as our leaders manage to persuade the brainwashed that our motives for intervening in resource-rich nations is the bringing forth of democracy, then the brainwashed will continue to be putty in the politicians' hands.

    Long boring post, the democratic rights which we lose here for safety reasons are all due to the recent Jihad attacks like London, Madrid and 9-11.

    The threat to the UK by the IRA during the 1970s and 1980s was demonstrably greater than at anytime post 9-11...I ought to know, because, unlike you, I lived through almost weekly bomb attacks in London. Our civil liberties were not curtailed.

    7/7...the bombs went off under the train....the photo's show the floor of the train pointing upwards......so much for the officials story!

    Jean Charles De Menzes.......murdered by "Police" proven at the enquiry!

    Seventeen witnesses informed the judge....no warning was issued.....he was held down and shot six times in the back of the head!

    Oooh....what was he........and where did he work?
