Way back before I got into physics, I worked in the medical field. I will never forget the first time I had to enter USC Medical Center - a major medical center in Los Angeles. The place is HUGE. In order to get around, they have many different colored lines on the floor. Just look to see what color your destination is and follow that color line. Okay, I can do that. Eventually I was led to an elevator. The buttons in the elevator had all of the colors for that floor next them. So I selected the floor that had my color and the door closed.

It went up some number of floors and stopped at the right floor but the door didn't open. I waited a few moments but still nothing happened. So I pushed the open door button but still nothing happened. I pushed the button a few more times and still nothing happened. WTF?!?! About the time I was getting a bit frustrated, I heard a muffled laugh. HUH? Where did that come from? Then I heard a couple of more muffled laughs...from behind me. I turned around and saw a room full of people staring at me and smiling or laughing, Well ******mit! I had never seen a two-sided elevator before!!! Sure enough, there was my line.

 

When I was just 19, I was responsible for a number of cat scanners. But the power circuit for one was damaged and I didn't have the schematics for that particular model. It was one of the original installs and it wasn't well documented. I told my boss I wasn't sure of the configuration. I can only wire it the way the others are wired, He said go for it.

So I wired things up and threw the disconnect switch to power it up. As it switched I heard a very strange, very loud thump. As that registered in my hearing, the hospital went completely dark. Yes, I had shorted out the entire hospital! I heard a bunch of people start yelling. A few moments later the backup generators fired up. About five seconds later a limited number of lights came on. I could see people running all around in a panic. ER, OR, ICU... everybody lost power. I had managed to pop the main feed for the hospital.

Whoops...

 

When told that Gov Abbott of Texas has tested positive for Covid, trump smirked and responded, "I did better on my test than he did".

Speaking of gay, my sugar baby made the comment that she will never live with a man again!

So I told her that's okay. I can identify as female, you can move in and we can be lesbians.

 

One of my favorite moments of the last ten years.

My first sugar baby was exploring her sexuality and wanted to try some light bondage. "Oh damn!" I exclaimed. "Okay, if I have to." We had not been seeing each other very long at that point. So I was pleased that she trusted me enough to have me tie her down naked.

But once I had her fully restrained, I gave her a little tickle on her side and she about jumped out of her skin! As it turned out, she was insanely ticklish!!! LOL!!! She hadn't considered that and I never promised no tickling. For the first time I saw true fear in her eyes. She was completely under my control and I was threatening to tickle her mercilessly.

Of course I only tortured her for a few moments. OMG she was as ticklish as anyone I've ever known. Damn that was funny. She was truly fearful .

 

anti-vaxxers are eating up de-worming pills for horses. So now we have horses who are claiming to identify as republicans so they can get their worming meds.

There are some anti-vaxxers who are defending the use of this drug to protect against Covid. But it was found that most of them have worms.

 

I am going to start an internet rumor:

Eating horsesht from a horse treated with Ivermectin, provides far more protection against Covid than Ivermectin alone.

Evidence shows the more you eat, the more protection you get!
