Do you think Obamacare is a fix for out of control insurance companies? More like they've been given free reign to rip off even more Americans. Too late to protest now... they're already in Obama's pocket.

So you acknowledge that students get to stay on their parents insurance until 26 now, whereas before the insurance companies would kick them off?
You acknowledge that people who couldn't get insurance before(whether it was pre-existing conditions or whatever) now have the ability to see a regular doctor instead of waiting until the disease is past the point of maintenance or cureability and going to the ER(which forces you and I to pick up the bill)?

What's funny is that one of the posters on here(globalcitizen, I believe) is complaining about being FORCED to pay for insurance when he doesn't realize that he's FORCED to pick up ER bills of those less fortunate. He only has a problem of being FORCED when its the gov't doing it, but when its his neighbors/friends/family that are FORCING him to pay, he completely forgives/forgets about it.

I have a big problem being forced to pay into a system, in which the fraud waste and abuse is rampant. I have a problem with any healthcare revamp that doesn't confront these issues. It is the FWA that we must confront. How does this law do that? I've yet to hear it, because it's drowned out by the talking points.

You are smart for pointing to the REPUBLICAN party to illustrate that the Tea Party is back (aka 'still here', in their case).

I don't know if YOU'LL agree with this, SMW, but I believe we have to get rid of the Good-ole-boy GOP ALMOST as much as we have to get rid of the Liberals and the Good-ole-boy Dems.

So if they're upset with the Tea Party, that only tells me that the Tea Party is on the right track. People seem to forget that the original Boston Tea Party was a productive, yet radical action.

And I realize that the eventual successful 3rd party may not be this exact
"Tea Party", but the whole business reminds me of Jesus. He came in a form that no one expected the Savior- humble, poor, unknown and not in flashy garb.

People STILL make a mistake of not recognizing things which are here to really help, simply because they are dressed in radical or unorthodox clothing.

We WANT the Tea Party to "bring the GOP down" Einstein. (in a way, that is) :)

    You don't know this?

The GOP is almost as bad as the leftwing machine.

If the GOP crashes, you think a majority of GOP and independent voters are going to magically start voting Democrat? You think that an Independent who doesn't like everything that a GOP "spinoff" does is going to magically start voting for Nancy Pelosi, who does almost NOTHING that the independent agrees with?

And one more thing: The Tea Party won't be afraid to get up and say WHY minorities should not be voting Democrat. If the GOP had the guts to do that, they'd have the minorities running from the Dem to GOP.

If the GOP starts seeing itself go down though, I think you'll be amazed how many GOP politicians who are good folks at their core (if not in their behavior) will give up things they know they shouldn't be doing like pork-barrelling, good ole boy stuff, and other crap.

We have had the establishment Republicans and Democrats run up the national debt to OVER $17,000,000,000 and we have these same establishment hacks calling the TEA Party:

    Spousal Abusers - Pelosi
    Terrorists - Biden
    Arsonists - Reid
    Extortionists - OBama
    Radical - CNN Anchor
    Extremists - Obama, Reid, Pelosi,

Yet the TEA Party is the only entity looking out for the people of the U.S. to slow and reverse the runaway unsustainable national debt that will crush our children's future.

What is so 'dishonorable' about fiscal responsible parties (the 'adults' in the room) wanting to cut up and pay off the credit cards of 'irresponsible Liberal teenagers' running amuck with the credit card spending it on goodies that 'we' Americans cant afford...I dont get the argument against the grass roots, middle class, responsible group of American adults that want to reign in irresponsible spending and balance the 'family' budget! What is wrong with that kind of thinking?!! Other than spoiled teenagers rebelling against responsibility and not realizing (or are actually in 'denial') that at some point THEY will have to pay off that credit card...

OCare is great for 26 yr olds who want to stay on their parents insurance... and people with pre existing conditions who couldnt get insurance before. However, both those items could've been accomplished without throwing the whole country into turmoil when 85% had no prob with their current ins.

Nobody is FORCED to pay taxes. You can always make the decision to opt out (don't work, don't own anything.)

At least you could til Oct 1 when we lost that freedom. Now you'll be forced to buy health insurance.

    How's that for progress?

Then you underestimate humans. Humans are not perfect, therefore you will always have FWA as long as systems/companies/businesses are owned/ran by humans. I think most people recognize this, right? Secondly, the ACA is addressing FWA. Tighter regulations on medicare claims to thwart abuse(but remember, this is not to address FWA, to the GOP, this new regulation is to harm business and capitalism.......doctors/hospitals/pharmacies). National databases to help shore up prescription drug abuse(but remember, this is not to help the country be drug free, to the GOP, this is some kind of violation against personal freedom). Etc, etc. etc.

There was a 68.9 percent increase in criminal health care fraud prosecutions from 2010 to 2011, and 2010 was already the highest ever. See the chart below, released last month by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University. http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/health/health_stew/2012/01/obamacare_is_winning_the_fight.html

So you see, the ACA is doing things to address FWA. Of course you will say an almost 70% is not really addressing FWA. You can't admit it because you still see FWA..............without being able to recognize that you will always be able to see it. So thinking that the ACA hasn't done things to tackle FWA, just because FWA is still there is being dishonest.

And you realize that the ACA(which was based on the Heritage Foundation's blueprint of healthcare reform) is designed to affect the 15% of those that doesn't have insurance and makes it affordable for them to get it.....................so they have easier/more access to treatments.

Everyone is FORCED to pay taxes. Even homeless people have to buy food, which means they pay sales tax...........even if they don't pay property tax or payroll taxes.

I know its terrible. I will be able to afford health insurance for the first time of my life since Im self employed. Horrible! I will finally be able to go to the doctor and get things checked out. Terrible! Instead of being FORCED to pay for other peoples ER visits, I am FORCED to pay for my own. Just plain awful. Healthcare in general should get cheaper. Insanely terrible! Many poor people will be able to visit a doctor. Untenable!

I can't believe we got the Republican blueprint for healthcare reform, but yet the people that have a problem with it are republicans.

Only gerrymandering allowed the GOP to hold their present position, but even in those gerrymandered seats, teaparty candidates did less well. Should they attempt a repeat after the last self-inflicted fiasco, then support will evaporate and the Tea-party will be no more than a half-remembered nightmare.

Not so! 'Food' is not taxed unless it is considered a non-necessity or 'soft-sin' item such as candy and soda pop...or bought at a restaurant, again not a necessary staple.

You've gotta be kidding. What we ended up with doesn't even resemble what Obama started out with, much less a Republican blueprint.

I do hope you'll report on the cost of your policy and the amt of your deductible as proof you're getting a good deal. Put all our fears to rest.

Got an extra $10K stuck back for your deductible in case something serious happens to you?

    - - - Updated - - -

Not after Obamacare crashes & burns. The Tea Party candidates will be national heroes since they tried to warn us.

Don't confuse him with facts when he's trying to convince us we're all FORCED to do anything in this country.

Besides buy health insurance, of course.

I will keep telling you this until you run away or understand. Whichever comes first! Single payer is the DEM idea of universal healthcare. What we got(Obamacare) is the republican idea of universal healthcare...............whether you like to admit it or not!

Here is a good place to debunk the lies you have been fed. http://www.salon.com/2013/10/18/inside_the_fox_news_lie_machine_i_fact_checked_sean_hannity_on_obamacare/

You will see that the author found rates around 60% cheaper than what they were paying. DOH! But hey, if you don't research the facts, you can continue to stay in the dark about them!

And the moderate Left need to cut all ties with the extreme Left who want to turn this country into a Socialist Democratic Union, and become more fiscally conservative before this country ends up like the old USSR. As most believe the US should not be the world's police, we also must stop being the world's cash cow.

Isn't it amazing how gerrymandering never helps dems? Maybe because you are just parroting left wing talking points and the right don't whine nearly as much that you don't hear of it.

The Tea Party is even more energized and the Obamacare fiasco will only help.

When liberals start telling you that "you shouldn't do this, you should stick with the republican party"... you know you're doing the right thing.

    Today's Steyn: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/361644/potemkin-parliament-mark-steyn

For all the bluster, we're still on a path of tyranny, corruption, exploitation, financial ruin and general banana republic status. Republicans are in trouble because life long members, like me, are switching to the Libertarian party. Anyone trying to change this nation's trajectory are described as radical and extreme. But, isn't running the nation into ruin radical and extreme? Isn't this what the Republicans are going along with?

And people aren't going to vote Democrat light while the real deal is available.

The problem now: 1 side would like everyone agreeing with the path to tyranny, just have two parties arguing they could do a better job of it. Another side would like to get us off this path. To the former, this idea is beyond the pale. But choices have a way of disappearing and leaving your without choices. You could ask the Greek.

So,I do hope you follow & read & watch this link above!
You are being lied to or misled into believing something-now the question is WHY? I've outlined some in my above post,& I say some because it is a very complex issue.
I still find it remarkable that the tea-party is so bound & determined to watch their fellow Americans suffer for political gamesmanship-
Your teaparty has lost all credibility by costing the American people (preliminary) $24 billion in the last 3 weeks, for what,-----NOTHING----,so,don't go whining about your party being all fiscally responsible---at this point it is just white noise to the majority of the population-you say your back----bullpucky---

You mean it costs those that rely on government teat sucking. Maybe they should join the real market instead of relying on government.
