Something like this hasn't happened in a while. Will it lead to rioting. Will people feel the need to watch what they say:

You can't show cartoons of Mohammed in a Muslim country (or one that is soon to be Muslim).

Imagine a person wanted to have someone else killed, so that person made it look like that other person was sharing Prophet Muhammad cartoons.

Could be a separated wife who wants her husband killed so she doesn't have to sell the house and divide the assets in a divorce. So she makes it look like her husband made Prophet Muhammad cartoons.

Maybe the police should start conducting undercover sting operations, intentionally putting out cartoons of the Prophet Muhammed to see if any homicidal muslims show up.

What if that doesn't happen in the next four or five decades? Will you come back to this thread and say you were wrong or will you be dead by then?

Imagine a person driving while black. Or jogging while black in Georgia? Or, depending upon the jurisdiction, doing damn near anything while black.

Doing many things while muslim in the US can also cause problems.

There was an attack last month because of Charlie Hebdo, two people wounded, no dead.
There is a lot of terrorist attacks in France, on a regular manner, I don't keep track of them, I have better things to do than read idiotic newspapers.

I am absolutly not surprized of that terrorist attack, anyway, people in France wanted diversity and cultural enrichment, we go it, there is a difference between the fantasy and the reality however.

It's cool how we can make fun of Christianity or Hinduism but the moment someone has a giggle at the expense of Islam the honor killings start...

I'm familiar with the attack on Charlie Hebdo, and yet it's still there, so is France btw.

What's the criteria of your claim being correct? After all, you made that claim. And you should probably be much more specific than "soon to be Muslim", don't you think? (I've read the pew hypotheses btw.) Just in case you're not aware, our (conservative) 'merican friends on this forum have been claiming for many years now that Sweden doesn't exist anymore and is now called Swedistan. All of a sudden they praise the Swedish approach regarding the Corona pandemic. They're praising a country that, according to their weird logic, doesn't exist anymore. They probably should make up their schizophrenic minds first before making dumb claims, I'd say.

Poor bloke just trying to teach freedom of expression and critical thinking. The left will cry racism and tolerance while the right will point at Islam ignoring their own religious nutters. The truth is that is time to stop believing in imaginary friends (especially such thin skinned ones) in the 21st century and stop teaching it to kids.

I'm refering to a more recent attack, where a pakistani man took a butcher knife and assaulted people in the streets because Charlie Hebdo published back some caricatures. The father of the attacker (in Pakistan) said he was very proud of his son. There is dozens of small terrorist attacks in France, this one is one among many.

I thought the large North African population in France dated to the Algerian war of independance, which France lost, and the people friendly to France were offerred asylum? Or was a desire by the French for diversity?

No a considerable part come thereafter. Very few people are descendants of "Harkis", algerian people who sided with french. It's hard to know the exact part, because ethnic statistics are forbidden in France, but if I remember well, descendants of Harkis were around a few hundred of thousand, when their is millions of people of algerian descendants. It's hard to know how many millions of people are from extra european immigration, but there is at least five millions of muslims + a number of other non european migrants.
Immigration was encouraged more after to lower the cost of work, because their was too few french people, which led btw to a rise of salaries. One of the turning points was when Valery Giscard d'Estaing, the president between 74 and 81 allowed "the familial gathering" which allowed migrants to take their family to France.

I'm more refering to all the devise like "diversity is a strength" particulary liked by the french left. On a pratical manner, there is many, many polls that sugested that french people wanted less migrations, that was never followed by any real acts.

After many terrorist attacks, I noticed that many people where more worried about "would it advantage the parti of Le Pen ?" rather actually by the victims. Some revealing event is that there was a man named Arnaud Beltram that got his throat cut by a marrocan who got then the french nationalty, this man was a member of the military police (Gendarmerie, Italians get something similar Carabinieri, there is no equivalent in USA or UK). He exchanged places with a hostage of the terrorist, and died following that. Recently a place was named after his named, and it was written "Arnaud Beltram, victim of his heroism".
Some people refused to mention that he got the throat cut by an islamic terrorist. They prefered to blame the bravery of the man for his death rather than the terrorist.

I hope that those anecdots illustrate while what I want to explain : the systemic avoidance/denial of the problem by a part of the population.

Considering migration and votes, I suppose it's anyway a little bit of an illusion that people get what they vote for. People never asked for free trade treaties, yet they got plenty of them. Even in so called "democracy" there is a deep gap, between what the ruling oligarchy do and what people really asked for, the idea that political governments actually act for their people, or even the portion of people that voted for them is an illusion to me.
