There have been calls all around the Muslim world to take action against France but they have been mainly talking about things like banning French Produce. They seemed to be as much against Macron's call to do things like 'beheading Muslim Organisations' as about the yet again publishing of the cartoons. This lot though are on another level.

So what are you going to chose to support, the sanction of free speech against Israel or curtailing the right to print images of a sky fairy? This is the hole we on the left have got into by supporting the intolerance of certain groups like Muslims because they are a persecuted minority.

I don't think the French Police Nationale is going to be following up on leads "on a dimensional inverse," unless you are simply trying to say the teacher was asking for it.

As for pornographic images, I've not heard about that, although given the French Netflix show "Cuties" it would not surprise me. The French are much more publicly libertine about such matters than the more Puritanical (traditionally) Anglo nations.

Can you show anywhere in the Quran where depictions of the prophet are banned?
I am not aware of any, so why are Muslims upset about this?

The french republic created itself around a defiance of religion. When the state and catholic religion were separated in 1905, monks were removed by the army from monastry they were peacefully for centuries. Considering Muhammad, that man had many times disgusting behavour, again, we already had this debate, and I don't have neither the motivation or the patience to have it again, especially after what happened this morning in Nice, we won't bow toward that man because some people threaten us. I won't praise that man because if I don't, it would offend a muslim.

The big irony of that, it's that Charlie Hebdo was and is still from the anti catholic far left. They didn't changed, their position toward religion didn't changed since the 70's, the world around of them did.

It's slighty more complicate. The boundaries aren't always the same.
Since Versaille, there was a libertine France, the libertine France wasn't the France of peasant, which were conservative catholics.
I saw many times people pretend that we glorify of our leader to cheat, but it's more complicate, people tend to says that we judge political on their political acts not their private life.

I believe CH have been baiting Muslims over this. If you see what I provided about the newspaper in Denmark who arranged for them to be created and was the first to publish them, the motivation for them and not for Christians was almost certainly Muslim hate. I understand that France has been coming down very heavily on Muslims since 2015 and indeed has a history of this. Macron recently talked about the poor housing they were given and that was one of the things a French, Lebanese, Agnostic, Christian friend I met on the net said. She had grown up among Muslims in Lebanon and loved them like family.

I do not believe this is about free speech at all. I believe it is about baiting Muslims and not letting them have the last word and in this putting everyone else at risk. Sometimes it is more mature just to stop doing something if you can pretty much guess the result but it was clear when Charlie Hebdo spoke after the killing of the school teacher where it's position is calling Islam a fascist ideology. At least they were being honest about their position there.

With regard to not allowing French people the rights of a democracy to have freedom of Political View, we in the UK are lucky that the English courts would not allow that here recognising that in a Democracy people have rights to protest for or against who they like as they did over South Africa. Many countries have been cajoled into doing what France has done. Large parts of the States for instance though last time I looked they like the UK were finding the courts would not agree.

I'm not sure the UK "justice" is any model. The UK justice system let the biggest human traffic of the last decades happen in Telford and Rotherham. Either the british police are total idiots, either they're accomplice with the human trafficker.

In this it was correct. The English Courts have shown themselves to put a high value on Democratic Rights. It was only in England that May tried to stop councils and Universities from being involved in BDS, Scotland which has its own Justice system did not have any pressure to follow that. Eventually the zionists understood they would get nowhere with English courts. Then they worked on gettting anyone who would say boo about Israel called an antisemite. They have also managed to get some people in Scotland afraid to let their rooms to groups working for Palestine. It is certainly a difficult problem and of course if you are a politician who believes the Palestinians are human beings and deserve the same rights as everyone else and possibly going into power, you are really going to get it.

@alexa Maybe before caring of what happens at hundred of kilometers away, the UK "justice" should care more of the child trafficker on their ground. The problem of democratic right, it's that I have see them put only in service of offender. When victims are denied justice, protection, there is no "human right" defender there.

No, the Israelis have used antisemitism to stop debate about Israel, very clever of them, and now some Muslims and left wingers are trying to use Islamophobia to stop debate on Islam and its repercussions. Many on the left can see the way antisemitism is used to stifle debate but cannot see how Islamophobia is being used in the same way, it is destroying the left. Printing cartoons is not baiting, don't give that idea any credence or you will next have to agree that Trump fans are baited into violence by cartoons of him! It is a slippery slope we are on.

Rotherham was the result of PC attitudes turning a blind eye to not offend a minority group.

I see a common theme of people with deep-seated and aberrational sexual perversions ending up in very bad places (depending on how far they took it). Consider Jeffery Epstein, and the circumstances of his own death. Or what about the people of Lot? They’re not around anymore, are they?

I don’t judge people, so I can’t say if the cartoonist was asking for it; but what I can say is that when someone makes a statement about Reality, and that this belief of his doesn’t reflect the Truth, then he’s going to be at the receiving end (sometimes painful) of his own misperceptions.

For example, General Suleimani boasted that Mr. Trump could do “nothing” to Iran and its proxies, and that the president of the USA is a mere pimp and imposter. That was his own characterization of things, but how did Reality respond to the General’s pointedly false perception of Trump? We all know what happened.

Now, is pain not real? Power is truly might, otherwise, how can you get people to submit to the truth? Why would people do things that causes them pain? That’s why people don’t speed, because they don’t want to feel the financial pain of paying a ticket.

The point here is that the cartoonist, in my view, was simply getting the reflection of his own deeper psychosis, and it violently overtook him. The only one in this scenario is the cartoonist. The crazy brown guy is just incidental.

Yes, the teacher showed the children nude images of the Prophet. It makes sense that Cuties was made in France (didn’t know that!). Western Europe has always projected its own perverted and violent nature unto Islam, and its somewhat ironic that it’s Macron- and not Trump- who’s the most hated Western politician in the Muslim East.

Read some of the koran. It is a cheap rip off of the other Abrahamic faiths concocted by a child molesting war lord who sought to turn himself into a god. Reading it this comes through clearly.

Your argument boils down to, as I said earlier, that "he was asking for it."

Now, that's not a totally bad argument in the sense that you are doing something really stupid by insulting someone to their face. If you do that, you can expect to get your face pounded. Is that right or legal? No, but you could argue it's an inevitable consequence.

In this case, Western cultural norms and values are not compatible with Islamic ones. This case isn't remarkable really other than it's yet another example of the incompatibility of the two civilizations.

Take a walk through a black neighborhood after dark and count the minutes before you are mugged, robbed at gunpoint, or murdered.

Can you explain to me what is wrong with depicting anybodies favourite sky fairy anyway I want? Should I be upset if someone depicts Gandalf having sex with Frodo?

You are allowing your crude and malicious hate of an ethnicity to show through.

Some Imans have already done services supporting the school teacher's family. I have found a couple of videos which I would think express the view of Muslims in France. First in the UK after 9/11 according to a drama documentary our Muslims were scared shitless even though until that time hatred to wards them was expressed as racism that is against 'Pakis' not Muslims. It changed the day of 9/11. They knew that the public would take 9/11 out on them which they did including one Muslim losing their life on the night of 9/11.

Here is an Iman talking to Muslims in France and telling them to wake up and get to business supporting the school teacher and to hell with anything but your support for his right for free speech. I think he probably has two emotions going on. One being the genuine horror at anyone being beheaded in France never mind the worst horror of that being done by a Muslim and his desire to make sure Muslims of France know absolutely that this sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable. The second which is not said which I think goes with the words 'wake up' is the fear of what will happen to Muslims of France in response.

This second video is from a Muslim in the US speaking about the Muslims in France in empathy to what they are experiencing in France and to Muslims in China to what they are exoperiencing in China and to Muslims world wide to what they are experiencing.

You bringing in something which has nothing to do this thread and bringing it in twice due to the ethnicity does and that is obvious. I will not discuss this with you further.

It's because you keep taking UK as an example, so you force me to remind you on how much shame and dishonnor the police and legal system of your country have covered themselves in either by their idiocy or complicity.
All the chief, judge of the UK police in that sector deserve as much execution than the people who commited those acts. That's not about an ethnicity, it's about criminals and their accomplice in the legal system.
