I could make it blasphemous if that’d help.

If Biden wins... Islam will grow in America as it does in Europe.

First of all I am against rudeness, insults and a lack of civility towards anyone, especially when it comes to a person's faith. So how in the world the French people can accept something as obscene as those cartoons is beyond me.

That said, the nations with the highest percentage of Muslims according to their population in Europe is France and Greece, and the migrants are being sent there for political reasons. Islam is not just a faith. If it was, they wouldn't have the Palestinians suffering and dying for so many decades to take back Jerusalem. Islam is also a political entity and if someone believes otherwise, then they are naïve.

Right now there are serious problems in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean. Turkey is disregarding all international laws and treaties, and is searching for oil and gas in Greek and Cypriot waters. There are constant threats towards Greece and Cyprus, and Erdogan as well as the nationalist Turks, believe that Turkey was robbed, and that everything belongs to them. This though goes back to the belief that any land Muslims have lived on belongs to Islam.

In all this Merkel is to blame for kowtowing to Erdogan and refusing to impose sanctions on Turkey. Maybe she's seeing Turkey through the lens of Germany before WWII, and feels had Hitler been treated differently there would have been no war. She might also fear the loss of the German investments in Turkey, but regardless, all of it is at the expense of Greece and Cyprus who are EU members.

As for France, Turkey's actions are no doubt affecting them economically, so they are siding with international law, and Greece and Cyprus' legal and sovereign rights. This has drawn the ire of Erdogan since it hinders his plans to control the Mediterranean and to renew the Ottoman Empire.

She was twelve years old. Twelve. In whose world is that allowed? Theirs.

Speaking of Charlie Hebdo, they chose to republish the original cartoons in defiance of Muslim hatred. Take your pick of the news items from this general search link below.

There are far too many French who will surrender to this. Next time the U.S. has to save them, we may not see a need to.

Yup! So much so that those Crusades were the best tourist money that area ever made, catering to that fun crowd with the crosses on their tunics. Too bad we did a precursor of Vietnam and pulled out early. Who knows what they'd be like if only one sect had won.

Good Lord. It was pre-middle ages. We were all bonking at puberty and grandparents at 25 (if you lived that long)

Did you take history at school?

I've been meaning to stop in at the Islamic Superstore on Michigan Avenue, or the Lamborghini lot down that street in Dearbornistan. I have eaten at a four-star micro-diner across the street, the Sahara, with shawarma and hommous simply "to die for." Killer sized servings.

We're down to driving around trying to find Biden signs amongst all the Trump items. Why? Don't you?

Not sure what your point is... It's how life was. Just a few centuries earlier (Roman Republic) the average life expectancy was said to be 18.

But hey, if you want to go unfetted bigot and dig the boot into Islam - you enjoy that.

I agree about Sarkozy. And that overall the French do side more with the left.

    Doesn't, or shouldn't?

I put the boot to those who engineered the single greatest loss of human life in American history, on 9/11/2001. I believe that Islam is a false religion and its ignorant violence is provable throughout history, observed by people far far smarter than you or I. Millions have died over the centuries due to their intolerance. Not disagreements over government, but wars over others "failing" to surrender beliefs.

Americans do not kill their children simply for dating out of their religious faith. We do not set fire to every car we can find if something does not go our way. Americans do not behead people over drawings. We got out of the Dark Ages. They haven't.

By the way, it's "unfettered," and there is nothing bigoted about defending one's own religion...until you cut someone's head off over a drawing. Then you're a Muslim.

Netflix has lost substantial numbers of subscribers due to that skin-film. I hope this bankrupts them.

I don't disagree. They are behind. I don't think Islam is the issue, though.

Thanks for the spelling correction. Unusual to find a sparring partner here with (probable) tertiary education.

Literacy is often a curse, but then again so is introspection.

That's much better, yes! Or .... "the brain behind a string of brutal attacks" ...... last seen wearing a turban and cuddling a 9-year-old girl, calling her 'honey buns'.

Greece? Are you sure about that? Maybe you're talking about "stuck in transit" not "resident"?
