Ill give you 2 examples. I had a teacher that wouldn't let a student get anything less than a B even if it took spending every lunch period in his class room and staying after school.

Another teacher is sick of kids and just doesn't give a damn. This shows in their grades.

Why should they both receive the same pay?

Yeah, little of that story actually happened, but cool... so I’ll just hang out with my students every lunch and give them all Bs.

I believe that it should be easier to fly her teachers and if we paid teachers are a lot more we could be more selective. A teacher who doesn’t give a damn shouldn’t be teaching but it usually parents of kids who don’t do well he’ll blame the teachers. It’s hard to Pay teachers on merit. For example if I have a bottom class and they go up a few months I did a great job but if I have a top class and they go up a few months I did a lousy job. It’s very hard

Look back at your own experience. K through 12 you would have over 70 teachers. How many great ones can you remember? Did you have any bad teachers?

Why should they make the same money?

I am lucky enough to have met kids I taught over 40 years ago. 16 of them! They found me on Facebook and we met in New York and it was an unbelievable experience plaque and all. It was a very tough school and these kids all did quite well but of course they broke my heart when they told me about kids that were killed or died
I wrote a book for teachers and Keynote to teachers and I always tell them as I am telling you if you ever had a teacher who made an impression let him or her know. A Very very famous person has given me tons of credit for changing her life and I have been in three documentaries . Unfortunately I can’t share

I agree, it will be hard. Its easier to grade students than teachers.
