    Thank me later :)

Of course it was a huge story. Not because it was the Pats, but because they had won Superbowl(s) because they cheated. Goodell destroyed the evidence because otherwise it would have been a black eye for the league to reveal how the Super Bowl champs "really" won their Super Bowls. Had it been the Browns nobody would have cared because they suck, and haven't won anything for the entire duration of my life.

I'm sorry but on absolutely no planet is going to 2 conference championship games (losing both) more impressive than going to 5 Super Bowls, winning 3, no matter who your horses are.

That's why whenever some publication gives a list of best HC's of all time, they all mention Belichick in the top 10, usually top 5, where Ryan is nowhere to be found.

I don't remember the Patriots winning a Super Bowl in September, 2006. As for the cameras being 10 feet out of position, that was a new rule which would have been allowed when the Patriots won their Super Bowls.

Simple question. Would the Pats be just as successful without Bill Billicheat? Considering he was 41-55 prior to getting Brady some might say they may have been better without him.

How many championships have they won prior to Spygate? I'll give you a hint. Its the same number as Cleveland. It helped them. Just admit it and move on. Karma will repay them after Brady leaves, they go back to winning 3 games a year and the fans show up with paper bags on their heads.

So in other words, "yes, they would have". Thanks.

    3, moron.
    Cleveland didn't win 3.
Brady missed an entire season and they went 11-5. 11 is more than 3.
If you weren't so ignorant about football, you would know that most of the all time great coaches have even worse records without their star QB's. Bill Walsh is seen as among the greatest coaches ever, and he was an abysmal 6-18 before Montana. Chuck Noll, another one of the all time greats was an unimpressive 80-96 without Bradshaw.
I drink the tears of haters like you! Your jealousy makes our success all the more sweet! ROFLOLOLOL!!!

Toby Gerhart should have been drafted in the first round instead of that imposter Mark Ingram who stole the Heisman from Gerhart based on a last minute blitz by ESPN to promote a defensive tackle as the leading candidate......LOL.....defensive tackle. Toby had better stats against a better strength of schedule than Ingram.......Gerhart should be starting in the NFL rather than wasting away on the bench in Minny.

Obviously you meant AFTER spygate. Prior means before. There is another way to look at the possible impact of spygate:
Patriots record and scoring ave pre spygate (2001-2006+ game 1 of 2007): 83-28* (.748 win pct) 24.3* ppg
Patriots record and scoring ave post spygate(2007-1st game of '07 - 2012): 80-25* (.762 win pct) 30.6* ppg
    * all records and scoring include the postseason. Check Football reference Patriots page. The opening game of 2007 was included in the pre-spygate record because that is the game where the Patriots were caught illegally filming the Jets.

Spygate refers to the filming of opponent defenses so spygate should help the offense. Notice the Patriots won more often and scored a full additional touchdown per game MORE after spygate. Please explain the impact of spygate given these numbers.

Well then he better ask for a trade. No way in a hell's chance will he or should he start in front of AP.. Not now, not yesterday and not tomorrow. Sorry, he's a good back, but he's not AP.

Tebow's problem is that he could arguably be considered the greatest college QB ever to play the game, but the skills is takes to dominate at the college level at that position simply don't translate to the NFL. Here's a list of the Heisman winning QB's prior to Tebow (I am not going to go over the 5 most recent years since the jury is still out on those guys):

Troy Smith, Matt Leinart, Jason White, Carson Palmer, Chris Weinke, Eric Crouch, Danny Wuerffel, Charlie Ward, Gino Toretta, Ty Detmer, Andre Ware, Vinny Interceptaverde, Doug Flutie. That's 13 guys who were stellar, remarkable college QB's, but as a group had very little success in the pros. Interceptaverde is the closest thing in there to a successful pro QB, but with him it's more a function of quantity than quality.

How many NFL teams have legit starting RBs anymore though? Most teams use two or three backs. The Vikings are really the only team that run the ball 30 time a game with one guy, but thats because that guy is AP and he is a monster. I'm not sure where Gerhart could go, and actually be the feature back.

Tebow will be implemented for first and goal, from inside the ten or less, and will prove very effective doing just that,IMO.

Green Bay, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Miami, Atlanta last year and maybe this year and there are about ten other teams that Gerhart would be an upgrade.....

You might want to look at QB sneak stats. Brady leads the league in %

I'd rather have Lamar Miller thanks.

    Tebow has been released.

I guess the Patriots, along with the Broncos and the Jets thought he sucked.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/patriots/2013/08/31/patriots-release-tim-tebow-cut/2750815/

Tim Tebow is done with the New England Patriots. The next question is whether his NFL career is over, too.

A person familiar with move confirmed the Patriots waived Tebow on Saturday morning. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the team had yet to announce its cuts.

Tebow was this final cut-down day's biggest storyline because he was the league's most popular player just two seasons ago inspiring a cult of Tebowmaniacs.

That was back in 2011 when Tebow came off the bench following a 1-4 Denver Broncos start to lead them on a string of late-game wins capped by his improbable wild-card playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ironically, Tebow's career came full circle when he signed in June with the Patriots, the team that crushed that magical Tebow-led Broncos playoff run in a divisional-round rout.

The 26-year-old Tebow signed a two-year contract that included no guarantees. In three preseason appearances, he was 11-of-30 passing for 145 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Patriots have carried only two quarterbacks in recent years, and they already have Ryan Mallett backing up Tom Brady. Tebow admitted on Thursday night he wasn't sure if he'd done enough to stick.

"Go to sleep when I get home, wake up, come work out, watch the film," he answered regarding his immediate plans. "See what I did good, see what I did bad, try to learn from it and get better."

The only question now is whether coach Bill Belichick still could have an interest in bringing Tebow back on his 53-man roster at some point, if he believes Tebow can help him win a game or two as a potential read-option situational package wrinkle. There is also the possibility Tebow could help Belichick's defense prepare for facing a read-option attack by running the scout team offense that week.

"It's not just one game (that matters)," Belichick said Friday when asked about Tebow's TD passes in the final preseason game, "although every game is important. But the body of work, the camp, the rate of improvement, the ability to do the things that players are going to be asked to do at their respective positions (also matter)."

First, it remains to be seen if Tebow will be claimed by another team.

Tebow is subject to waivers and has a minimum base salary of $630,000 if a team is interested. But the past 18 months haven't done anything to help this stock.

The Denver Broncos traded Tebow, whom they drafted 25th overall in 2010 out of Florida under a prior regime, to the New York Jets in March 2012.

He threw only eight passes in a forgettable season with the Jets, then was cut April 30 and ended up signing with the Patriots, who loaded Tebow's contract with second-year incentives.

Unless another team claims the contract, Tebow won't get a chance to earn them.

Tebow is a great quarterback but he does the NFL a disservice by publicly exhibiting his Christianity during games. Moreover, such behavior is an insult and act of defiance to America's atheists.

He must be ordered to clean up his act.

    Gracias
