    What has been interesting is how many have logged on and on NO evidence have decided that someone that court has found to be a clear and present danger is somehow “innocent”

    It goes to the heart of the duplicity around blaming all mass shootings on mental health issues, bit when the courts act suddenly they are doing the wrong thing

    I guess that means you did not read about any such interview, and that you are speculating.

    SOP in the UK is indefinite detention of innocent people, as they are doing with Assange as we speak.

    You seem to be trying to create something that is not there. He was fought illegally purchasing a weapon, he was found to have Paedophile pornography (in the second link ) plus over a thousand pages of handwritten material obsessing about caring out mass murder. Some of that material was about explosives.

    Now if he had been a Muslim would you have given this thread a second thought

    It seems an odd assertion that a 15 or 16 year old boy is a pedophile, but I know that exaggeration is part of the government way.

    Sorry, 19 years old. That is still a stretch for the term pedophile.

    Yes, the boy was wrong to have done what he did, but I think the sentence is severe all things considered. An evaluation by psychologists would be more appropriate, all things considered.

    This news story sounds like an apology for our hoax called The War On Terror.

    Once again what are their options?

    Run the risk of mass murder (since he was also researching explosives). Lock him in a mental institution? Or jail him.

    Maybe I'm more pragmatic than you.

    We already have mass murder in many forms. Far more people are killed in automobile accidents than are killed by shooters, even counting the several staged and scripted mass shootings. More people die from taking legitimately prescribed drugs than die from shooters.

    Putting him in prison will assure that he will be more malign when he leaves than when he goes in. Whether he would ever have succeeded as a mass murderer is mere speculation. Having done what he did, it seems he is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
