No, Trump is not a white supremacist. Saying so would imply a level of thought Trump does not possess. To trump, the malignant narcissist, people are merely objects that are judged by how they affect his self image or the public image he perceives of himself. Nothing more. Last week, Trump didn't just 'off the cuff' proclaim that he was a nationalist, he knew exactly what he was doing. He said, "This is an old fashioned word and I know I'm not supposed to say it." The reason it's an old fashioned word and the reason you're not supposed to say it is because nationalism led us to two to world wars and tens of million of people dead and in horrible ways including the holocaust. So, there's a reason for that stigma and him dredging that up and proudly applying it to himself as the president of the United States and leader of the free world is frankly horrifying. The racism and antisemitism that he had been winking about and these dog whistles became a vuvuzela.

I was shocked that Trump commented how his hair was messed up from answering questions by the press before he boarded his helicopter and said he thought about cancelling the rally because he was having a bad hair day, not that 11 people were still lying dead in a synagogue but that he was having a bad hair day. That was a joke obviously but was it really the time or place for such idiotic bantering? I am stunned when Trump, only 4 hours after the shooting in Pittsburgh said, "I'll try to be nicer, should I be nicer?", and the crowd at his rally shouted a resounding "NOOOO!"

What's wrong with people? How can human beings be so cold-hearted and unfeeling? Does it have to be their mother or father, or their brother or sister to be killed by a fanatic lunatic before people actually feel some empathy in their hearts for others that are suffering? I will never understand any of this way of thinking.

 

If our racial and ethnic makeup form our way of thinking, then doesn't every race have a particular mode of existence? If so, why is white nationalism frowned upon?
