This is getting more and more off topic but don't all states, red and blue alike, require misc vaccinations for school children?

Abortion is that one topic that makes both parties hypocrites. The current list of required vaccinations does not justify making this one mandatory.

You may be correct...it is hard to imagine anyone sick and twisted enough to want to punish women for having abortions but I guess there's people who have so little in their lives they need to be nasty to others...

And then there's the big issue of having proof...

    What would their proof be?

Can't go around accusing people of crimes without proof..

Sure you can. Women falsely accuse men of rape all the time.

Here's an idea. Medical personnel are required to inform the police of gunshot wounds and the DMV of medical conditions impacting a person's ability to drive.

We could just add pregnancy to that list.

You could, but you would only succeed is creating a demand for black market abortions, abortion drugs, and medical tourism. You would also discourage seeking medical treatment. There is no benefit to society.

Shrug. Lawbreakers have to assume responsibility for the hazards of lawbreaking.

What is and is not beneficial to society is a hotly debated topic.

While it is a hot debate topic, no one has come up with a way to enforce laws that have failed long before the internet and abortion drugs.

No, they don't ..and to make it stick they still need PROOF.

What proof would a person have who accuses a woman of having an abortion??? Fetal remains?

The same sort of proof the police would use for any other murder.

That's a totally ridiculous question. There have been persons convicted of murder before even though no body was ever found.
You are taking this discussion off topic.

If you want to discuss that, start a new thread.

Isn't it true that making anything illegal creates a black market? The question is only whether the benefits outweigh the detriments.
You are also taking this thread off-topic.

Unless your argument is that women should be allowed to kill their late-term viable babies because otherwise it could create a black market.
That still has nothing to do with the amount of punishment they should receive, if it illegal. (Or do you disagree with that?)

LOL, yes, there have been convictions without the body BUT there WAS at ONE TIME a "body", a "PERSON" that had to be declared missing, there had to be somebody who is now gone.

In the case of abortion there is NO "BODY", NO "person"....NO "one" who is gone...

Try again, no one EVER has answeedr :

There is no such thing is late term babies. Revealing that the laws you propose are unenforceable is not off topic unless results don't matter. I find that most people pushing abortion laws have no clue on how to enforce them. If you can't describe how your position can benefit society, you cannot justify government involvement.

Does that have anything to do with whether a woman is punished with 1 year, or 4 years? (if she is going to be punished)

Abortion laws only punish society. Only a few poor people would get caught in the sausage grinder we call the criminal justice system. Those with a few bucks would just take a trip.

Correct an Unamerican barbarian (lol) if he is wrong, but isn't Tennessee one of the states with a nutjob restriction on abortion of only a couple of weeks or was that Georgia, Mississippi or all three of them?
