Correct. Mr. Floyd was subdued within the first 45 seconds of that encounter. Yes, he was passing bad paper. Yes, he was intoxicated. Yes, he was noncompliant. None of that equated to the revocation of his constitutional rights by that rogue officer.

No. I showed you bullshit training techniques that don't work in the real world against people with a brain (which relates to your proposal as to how you would arrest someone who outweighs you by over 100 pounds of athletic bulk) And then I showed you how someone detained and co operating and in handcuffs easily broke away and ran...which is something that's always on the minds of arresting police officers like Chauvin.

    But anyways...carry on.

Often the case, and doesn't really matter. These discussions are always about ideology and people often invent "facts" to suit their argument. BLM is known for this too.

Yes unfortunately being a big dude instantly brings a different level of risk assessment to the situation absolutely.

Seriously just stop typing. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Criminals and crack heads say ANYTHING and make any excuse to put themselves in an advantageous situation including faking injuries and pain. They can’t be trusted. The fact he was even allowed to be on the ground instead of locked in the car was the first error in showing him empathy.

People have already replicated the incident without injury. What they couldn’t duplicate was a suicidal amount of drugs in their system. Stephen Crowder did it and he had a bad heart. It was really uncomfortable and hurt at times but he was fine afterwards.

You did not show someone in the same situation as we were discussing. Come off it.

Chauvin should've followed his training. But instead he got a hard on to hand out some stick time, ignored the rookies reminding him of their training telling him not to do this, and now they're all headed upriver: Chauvin because he couldn't control himself, his partner because he didn't keep control of Chauvin, and the rookies because they went along with it.
But at least he didn't risk having to struggle a little.

All they had to do was follow their training, which specifically tells them not to put people they think are doped up in that position because BECAUSE OF THE DOPE MIXED WITH THE STRESS OF THE POSITION, they die. Note: Not have an arrhythmia, its specifically to do with narcotic intoxication.

Each of the 4 is on tape admitting they thought Floyd was doped up. Each of the 4 doesn't take the required actions their training commands for that circumstance. That lack of following their orders and training led to a man's death.

And yet none of that would change that their training commanded them to not do what they did, specifically because of the result that was almost medically certain to follow if they disobeyed their orders.

They disobeyed orders and killed a man.

lol, disagree, but trying to talk down to people will help your argument for it, I am sure

Nice talking point, sounds good until you look at the data. Race is definitely an issue as the percentage of crime committed by race doesn't match the population percentages.

I absolutely did. A much more calm arrest with a smaller individual who was acting compliant and was IN CUFFS instantly broke away...

Why? How? I thought it was over? He was in cuffs? The danger is gone according to you?

It's absolutely proof that you don't know the real world versus what you've made up in your mind. Situations go south on a dime. On every encounter. And this is ALWAYS in the back of the minds of police. That's just a ****ing fact of life and the job. And when you are 140 pounds and trying to detain someone who's a muscular 240+ and 6'5...the size difference ABSOLUTELY plays into how many precautions you need to take to insure you can keep the situation always under control. That there would never be a moment where the detainee could inflict harm.

You've proven you do not know what the hell you are talking about and have an unrealistic view of how arrests work and the inherent dangers they create.

You can disagree but you’d be wrong. A guy significantly bigger than you even with cuffs can get up, run, kick, has teeth that can tear flesh and a head that can break your nose. Go talk to cops. And have for decades. Druggies say anything and will do anything without warning especially when they’re high and he was on everything and flying like an eagle. Depending on the drug they also can have enhanced strength and less sensitivity to pain. PLEASE!!! Educate yourself.

And people have replicated the kneeling. Watch the videos if you care or be willfully ignorant. Your choice.

We as a society have to realize and come to terms that there are those on our society that are net liabilities. They don't provide for themselves, they commit crime resulting in more crime, they leech off governemnt programs and pop out as many babies as possible.

Then you have people that are net positive. They contribute more than they take, they create and expand economies, contribute to education, and leave the world a little better than they found it.

It's time the net positive people are ok with letting the leeches wallow in the gutter, cold, and starving and accept that this is better than the alternative we are witnessing.

These people could never be cops. Hell, they don't want to. It's easier to sit in an internet forum and criticize.

So your assertion is that all other murder victims are "gang bangers"?

As it happens, I'd suggest a murder should be of concern even if the victim is a criminal themselves. That still means there is a murderer out there and still means there is a whole load of circumstances that lead to yet another person being killed. Caring about people doesn't just mean caring about people who are (or who you perceive as being) morally acceptable.

He was not in cuffs on the ground with 4 grown men holding him down.
Again: You keep trying to move the goal posts. Nothing the cops did was wrong until they left him on his chest in flagrant violation of their training of how to deal with doped up suspects. They were fine until they didn't roll him the **** over.

And again: All they had to do was follow their training. They didn't, and now they're going to be sucking dick in prison for decades.

Ask yourself why George was on the ground in cuffs with 4 grown men holding him down.

Are you under the impression I think he shouldn't have been arrested? Where is it you're purchasing your recreational intoxicants from, and can I get a referral?

As stated: They acted perfectly correctly until they disregarded their training and refused to roll him on his side while they waited for the bus. Hooking him up? Perfectly legitimate. Walking him down to the ground to hook him up and wait for the bus since he's throwing a fit in the car? Perfectly legitimate. Once you've got him on the ground and hooked up, with 4 grown men holding him, not rolling him on his side? Perfectly illegitimate, entirely contrary to their explicit training when dealing with suspects on dope as they all admit Floyd was suspected of, and the reason those 4 grown men are going to be abused in prison until their terms are served.
All they had to do was follow their training, something they are outright ordered to do. They did not, and a man died as the perfectly medically predictable consequence of not following their training. That's criminally culpable actus rea and mens rea.

One man was holding him down. Three were standing around with their hands in their pockets. Chauvin acted out of policy. End of story.

so if you're unlucky enough to be born big, cops have a right to abuse you even when cuffed?

If you are unlucky to be born big? As if being tall and muscular isn't a privilege in today's society? But yeah...if you are that large you do pose more of a threat then a 4'5 female who weighs 80 pounds.

Kind of the difference between a pitbull and a poodle fella

I don't disagree with any of that. But George died because he ****ed himself over from fentanyl. compromising his health. And not because knee on back/neck is an overly fatal maneuver killing thousands each day...and anyone who claims it is hasn't experienced it. I have. It's not fatal. It's actually uncomfortable but safe. Either way Chauvin was found guilty of negligence. Hardly a glaring example of systemic racism.

It isn't about caring, its about trying to draw parallels completely devoid of morality.

    That just isn't logical.
