They'd prefer you do it since you paid for it.

Just pointing out that issues become less abstract when you are personally impacted.

On a PERSONAL level, I’d put one right between the perps eyes, given the opportunity and certainty. Failing that, I’d obey they law. I would complain like hell, but in the end, I’d obey the law.

Brilliant defense, I wonder why his lawyers didn't think of it. Your honor, our client had consensual sex with the victim, ejaculated inside her and then the cops faked his DNA test to indicate that our client ejaculated inside her. I sincerely wish you were the attorney of record for this man.

It is so Jim Crow to lynch the black guy without considering the possibility that he might be innocent. I suppose you have never banged a cruising chick who had a jealous boyfriend that you may or may not have known about? Imagine if he had killed her. You would be in prison or have been executed because your DNA was all over her. He know that her boyfriend raped while on duty. The black guy is also a scum bag but he could be innocent of murder, which you refuse to consider because of brainwashing. Other people who know the people involved have claimed that the black guy and the woman had a consensual sexual relationship. So, based on human nature, the white boyfriend might have killed her and he knew that the mob would blame and convict the black guy. That is how you get away with murder.

It is evident that some people are not interested in real justice, they just want to see the lynching. Countless people have been framed for all kinds of crimes throughout American history and have lost their freedom for years and lives at the hand of the lynch mob. Do you need examples?

Yep. People get exonerated after extended spells in prison all the time.

The effect of the quotes below would be to put innocent men to death.
See the link at the bottom.

I feel the same way, but am grateful to live where this doesn't happen.

Your false claim calls for the operation of the mind. No reasonable person tolerates executing innocent people, regardless of party.

I'm glad I'm in Texas where if someone rapes and murders a 10 year old girl they will executed.

I'd push the button or flip the switch if I could.

But some didn’t you say that you would want to flip the switch for certain people convicted of murder?

These three men were convicted. It took nearly four decades to show they were innocent.

that would be too late for a dead man. One of the reasons the death penalty should be abolished, as it is in every civilized country.

Yes, I’ll flip the switch on the guy who shoots 20+ 6 year-olds in a school. I’ll flip the switch on a guy who rapes and murders a 10 year old girl. I’ll flip the switch on a cop killer.

If you have a problem with that, then you are the problem.

And what if one of them was found to be innocent, 20 years after you flipped the switch? Would you have a problem with that?

Sure he would. He'd confess to murder and volunteer to be the next executed. He'd even flip his own switch.

I don't have an issue with that. There was a time when people were broken on wheel. I am glad to live in a time and place where public executions and a slow, painful death is not considered justice. (Even though some deserve it!)
