Detectives believe a missing North Texas man was consumed entirely by his own dogs.
Freddie Mack, a 57-year-old man from Johnson County, was reported missing in the spring.
The sheriff's office seized the dogs, allowing detectives to conduct a more thorough search of the property. They cleared high brush and found dog feces that contained even more bone and clothing fragments. The fragments were sent in for forensic testing and positively identified as being Mack’s remains.

Poor guy. Death by beasts is not a pleasant death. I hope they quickly tore his throat out.

Consumed entirely by dogs? That makes no sense, dogs can't eat human bones. If he was eaten by dogs there should still be a body.

prolly died of heart attack, dogs had to eat something... not unusual to find a dead person in their home weeks/months after dying...

How else would you like to go given you're going to be torn apart by dogs?

Sure, weird things only happen in those three states.

You do realize your statement is total crap, right? And you believe this stuff just because it pops into your head. Very sad.

"The sheriff’s office said by the time the dogs were seized, two had been killed by other dogs. Thirteen of the remaining 16 were euthanized because of their aggressive nature."

I find it very likely there are pit bulls involved.

This link says they were mixed breeds and a couple were put up for adoption. I can't see dogs eating an entire skeleton down to that small size pieces. I also don't think a dog is going to crap right next to their food source. Maybe wolves ate him and the dogs pooped around him for scent marking.

Nope. Domestic dogs have little resemblance. Have you seen a wolf? They are large. We are talking about sub-species.

It's like saying we are Neanderthals. True in a sense, but a bit misleading.

Some domestic dogs have little resemblance. Others are barely distinguishable. Malamutes are the prime example. And most (maybe all) dogs are genetically compatable with wolves. If humans dissapeared, it would be only a few generations (maybe 100 years) until all dogs were once again wolves.

Did the article specify which breeds supposedly ate this guy? Pitbulls, malamutes, dobermans, german shephards, mastiffs, rottweilers and airedales all have sufficient jaw strength to gnaw, crush and eat human bones over time. Hell, there may even have been some wolf mixes. They're not legal, but that doesnt make them uncommon.

Funny since I almost mentioned malamutes as well as huskys.

And the wolf's jaws are at about 400 psi. 1500 psi for some alphas. Pits 250psi at best.

Wanna know what would kill a wolf? This one. Easily.

Cats will eat people too if they are locked in with no food except a dead owner.

But they won't devour the body. Dogs will eat the flesh then gnaw on the bones till it's gone.

Just like pigs, hence the saying, "as greedy as a pig".

Never trust a man with a hog farm.
