The deflection of molestation by Catholic Priests is noted, and we are talking about honor killings in Texas, and the role CAIR played in this case.

I am sure CAIR is hot on Said's trail.

Believing in a god and beheading innocent men, women and children in the name of that god is not a trait shared by both religions. Who would you rather insult, a Catholic or a Muslim? Actually, comparing Muslims to Christians is, well, it can't be done.

I love free speech, but IMO silly to protest "Stand With the Prophet Against Terror and Hate". It makes me wounder if the protest organizers even took the time to lean of what the conference was about?

Are Christians limited to a specific political party?

What does your above quote have to do with the OP?

And what does this have to do with the OP? Are you implying that the Muslims at the conference are Jihadist? If so please cite source.

Just because one does not want Muhammad depicted in cartoons does not mean one supports said killing of the cartoonists.

All religions suck but 99.999% of the hateful acts and atrocities that have been committed in America were done by supposedly Christians. However, in the grand scheme of things Islam will be a major problem for American society because it does not even give lip service to the basic American values and creed. At some point in the future there will be
major armed conflict in the land. We can't survive as a country if a group of religious nutjobs place their belief in a crazy 7th Century Arabian homicidal maniac instead of the traditional American values of freedom and equal justice. While we may not have ever had true freedom and equal justice in America most of the people believe in the concept and keep working toward it. That's what the conflict is about.

The problem is that people generally associate the "prophet" with being responsible for the terror and hate in the first place.

The scheduled keynote speaker at Saturday's conference, Siraj Wahhaj, is an imam from New York, identified by federal authorities as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings

I guess maybe they are Jihadists?

If Siraj Wahhaj is a Jihadist then why is he not in jail? A rhetorical question. The fact that he is not in jail says to me that there was not enough evidence to charge him with a crime. This does not mean that he is guilty or innocent. So do you have any actual evidence that the Muslims at the conference are Jihadist?

C'mon bro, get real. How many of Obama's pals are in jail? Not the Black Panther voter intimidators. Not Lois Lerner. Not the people who illegally bugged reporters. Not the Fast & Furious folks. Jeeez, this could be a long post. NONE of Obama's pals are in jail and he even has an Office of Muslim Affairs in the White House although I can't say if it's still open or not. Why would an American president have an office of Muslim affairs in the white house?

It makes us wonder if you like being spoon-fed innocuous-sounding propaganda which leaves out more than half of the truth or just haven't taken the time to learn what Islam is about?

    - - - Updated - - -

I thought we were talking about the right protesting Muslims that are against terrorism

the christian protestors religion has done some awful things too, time for both religions to denounce the religious fanatics, time to just say 'NO' to God warriors

Garland and Irving are in the DFW metroplex. 2 Honor Killings and CAIR played a role in this case.

Add in the imam leading the "Honor and Respect" conference is not exactly a warm and fuzzy moderate Muslim. The sick irony- using "honor".

Let me know if there are any cases in Texas, the past 7 years, where a Christian Dad killed his 2 daughters motivated by an adherence to his religious beliefs, and if there was involvement from a CAIR type group to muddy the waters. Let me know if this Dad and possible accomplice Mom are still free.

Why Texas protesters and not protesters in Texas? Do you know for a fact that every one of the protesters are Texans?

So yes you have a problem with these protesters. Can you just answer a simple question?

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Perhaps the simple concept of the few do not represent the many is lost upon you.

And this has what to do with the OP? Go start another thread and ask those questions as they are moot in this thread.

Umm..no. I have major problems with Islam since I am a gay man and a liberal. MAJOR PROBLEMS.

While I would not go protest this gathering, as it seems sincere, I do have a big problem with all religions. Any religion that tells people to do what some Muslims have done is going to (*)(*)(*)(*) me off.

That said, Texas is an increasingly stupid place with regard to religion. I would no sooner visit Texas than I would Iraq, or anywhere in the Middle East. I would not feel safe.
