they refuse to make that distinction. intentionally, because it detracts from their ability to call you a racist and a nativist.

It sounds as if, as the state's top Republicans rallied in Collin County, some Cruzers want to deport fourth-generation immigrants, but not their foreign-born "Nasty Guy"! as Lyin' Don dubbed 'Carnival':

At every mention of O'Rourke's name, the crowd booed and hissed.
During Cruz's speech, one man yelled, "Send him back to Ireland!"
The senator chuckled, pausing his well-rehearsed stump speech.
Glancing up at the crowd, he smiled, "That's good!"

I suppose when mobs in sh¡thole nations screech "Lock her up! Lock her up!" at the mention of a former political opponent who was neither indicted, nor tried, nor convicted of any crime, that's just "hyperbole."

Texas will lead the nation. It will top out economic productivity, it will continue to lead in modernization and improvements. Unlike the liberal dungeons of the US. Texas will continue to lead and show what is possible without the heavy hand of governments

LOL The OP is gleefully happy that the nations most successful state recently is turning into California which is dying, at least according to her. Perhaps the OP can explain why vastly more Californians move to Texas than the other way around.

Texas and California are two text book examples of how the Dems and GOP run government, just like Wisconsin and Illinois. On one side you have job growth, lower budget deficits and in my case a budget surplus, lower unemployment and higher standard of living especially among minorities. For all their chest beating about how much liberals care about minorities, blacks and Hispanics have a higher quality of life in Texas than in California including home ownership, education level, business ownership and purchasing power.

On the other side you have high unemployment, vast income inequality and ridiculous cost of living and out of control debt from government pensions.

The reality is that Californians, as well as folks from others states, moving to Texas is good for Texas. The vast majority is attracted to the thriving, more progressive urban areas.

Wall Street's Richest and Poorest States as of 2015:

    THE POOREST STATES:

    1) Mississippi

    2) Arkansas

    3) West Virginia

    4) Alabama

    5) Kentucky

    THE RICHEST STATES:

    1) Maryland

    2) Hawaii

    3) Akaska

    4) New Jersey

    5) Connecticut

Yes, geography dictates a much higher cost of living in Alaska and Hawaii.

Your example "Chevy makes cars better" is hyperbolic and conflates a conflict of interest with political speech.

Belief in free speech is not just belief in speech one agrees with. Corporations should not be able to dictate one's political beliefs. Take the pressure to hold extremist progressive liberal beliefs in some of these social media companies ? Do you agree with that ?

This is not a "black vs white" issue.. this is not about yelling fire in a crowded theater .. and your example is akin to this.

Actually, Beto supports the freedom of expression the flag represents while the followers of Trumpery seek to subvert the player's peaceful protest of serial police abuse.

If the players don’t like the NFL’s rules, they can start their own league.

Talking over the points made - deflecting - is not an argument for much.

This is good news for Texas, the USA, and the rest of the world. Not too long ago, I either heard or read that Texas is not quite as right wing as many suppose. That the Austin area in particular is very progressive and open minded and that the major cities for the most part are equally patriotic and forward looking. It was suggested that eventually the majority in Texas would go that way as well.

    Let us all hope so.

There is no freedom of expression on the job. If you embarrass your employer and hurt his business, he can let you go.

There is no right to embarrass your employer and stay in the job.

The Austin area is a mini-Moscow, circa 1955. Very, very left wing.

But I think we’ve been able to contain the disease.

1950s ~ the era of McCarthyism or the reverse Godwin's law of that era.

But if I have been informed correctly, their progressive and wise socio-political outlook is spreading and enlightening the rest of Texas. Let's hope so!
