The First Nations man Squanto (Tansquinetum?) was the actual FOUNDER of the Thanksgiving Feast, which was largely made up by the First Nations people who helped the Pilgrims to survive and prosper. Much of the later conflict between FN and Pilgrims was due to the FN recruiting them as allies in their ongoing struggles with other tribes

 

I consider it the major feature of an active mind but then again you are conservative and conservatives consider an active mind to be subversive . If the entirety of any nation were just like you or anyone that nation would be the worst shithole on Earth.

Since liberal NYC had their annual Thanksgiving day parade, there's no war on Thanksgiving.

 

Why wouldn't the entire Leftist Liberal Progressive movement Hate Thanksgiving and Christmas, they already support Critical Racist Theory and believe White People are born Racist oppressors, so why should Christmas and Thanksgiving be any different.

I see both sides of this one, am liberal, but ultimately think it's time to lighten up. I like Thanksgiving for its own sake. But it is BS to think of it as celebrating some kind of reciprocity between colonists and natives. In short, we destroyed them and called it gods will.

I also like Christmas, more for the lights and trees than consumerism, but won't pretend it is about Jesus or his birth to me (he wasn't born in December). We have fun holidays that bring families together. Leave it at that. And while it may be liberals being against holidays that celebrate an unfair past, most of us are fine with Thanksgiving other than the weight gain.
