We are up against the same sort of thing up here in Canada and their idiocy has the province of Alberta closer to leaving Canadian Confederation than at any other time during my fifty nine years!

Why does Canada's federal government practically steal from Alberta?

Or, people who think that way now will be viewed with the same pity and disgust we view the Branch Davidians and the citizens of Jonestown, and Brokeahontas will be down there with David Koresh and Jim Jones - and for the exact same reasons.

Always in motion is the future...

That is a possibility...... which would mean that my theory as to why he seems to be quite "Libertarian" would be seriously in error???

    Is President Trump quite "Libertarian?"

Is President Trump more Libertarian than most Democrats?

Cantaloupe Caligula is Libertarian in exactly the same degree and fashion that David Duke is a supporter of the Anti Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center. So, yes. Your theory is as error-filled as flat-earthism...

I voted "Obama", but your poll is flawed because it only allows for ONE selection. You appeared to be asking for several if we wanted to add more. I wanted to add "Lyndon Johnson" and a few others, but if ONE is all I get, then yes, it's Obama....

Most definitely disagree with the assessment of Walter Cronkite.
He knew how the military deceived him on visits to Vietnam
    and likewise deceived "our" gov't.
The art of deceiving the gov't was begun on JFK and carried to LBJ. Vietnam, Bay of Pigs . . .

His editorial moment was described as an editorial moment
when he said he did not believe Vietnam was winnable.
He was part of the Edward R. Morrow tribe of journalism.
Honor meant something as did good journalism.
I do believe the tribe members were all from the Midwest.

If the assessment of Uncle Walter can be as perverted as expressed
in #7 how bad are the others?

Stop criminalizing telling the truth. Free Assange. Free Manning.
Embarrassing the gov't is not a crime against " National Security".

It is educational about the author & anyone who agrees with it or thinks it worth posting online. Tenth rate political dreck of the very worst sort. The swipe at Jimi Hendrix shows just how far the author's head is up his rear - Hendrix died because he took the wrong sleeping tablets. The idea that he is somehow responsible for 'drug culture' is as laughable as it is insulting.

On the educational side, it is instructive just how mainstream antisemitism has become.

Just one question Dennis, when you were 14 years old and the Nazis came to exterminate you, your family & every single member of your community how did you survive? How did you survive the near total destruction of your community in an act of deliberate mass murder. If you can't answer that without pretending you know what you might do then you should hang your head in shame at reproducing an article whose author deliberately misrepresents the experience of a child surviving the holocaust to attack someone he dislikes. It is a shameful thing to say and a shameful thing to reproduce without at least condemning the author.

You seem like a good person. I hope I have not misjudged you.

I'm extending my list further into the past than the last 80 years. I've only seen 50, so my list would have been different anyway.

    10. Eugene V. Debs - The first true American socialist, and unfortunately the first in a long line of thousands who followed him, up to and including Bernie Sanders. By giving socialism a kind face, he did a disservice to America that is incalculable.

    9. Robert E. Lee - It's fair to say that without Lee, the South's rebellion would have lasted six months, a year, tops. Instead, at Lee's direction, the insurrection lasted for four bloody years, and cost more American lives than any war since, WWII included. Lee's treason should have earned him a hanging.

    8. Margaret Sanger - The founder of Planned Parenthood has 50 million lives and counting to answer for.

    7. Madalyn Murray O'Hair - The woman who took God out of the public schools and out of public life also has a lot to answer for.

    6. Earl Warren - A nominally Republican judge switched sides once on the Supreme Court and presided over a dozen or more cases that fundamentally altered the fabric of America by fiat rather than through the natural process of political evolution. He didn't start the tradition of activist judges, but his was the first court made up of a majority of them.

    5. John Dewey - Education reformer, who managed to make education far less effective than it had ever been in the past.

    4. Lyndon Johnson - Vietnam, the Great Society, the War on Poverty, Medicare, and a host of other destructive policies all originated in the Johnson administration.

    3. Franklin D. Roosevelt - Roosevelt was Johnson's predecessor in the creator of a vast, overweening government that promised to provide anyone and everyone with all their hearts desired, and all paid for by someone else.

    2. Jimmy Carter - Carter's destructiveness to America and America's interests knows no bounds. Every problem America has in the Middle East today can be traced back to something Jimmy Carter either did or didn't do. Every country in the Middle East was worse after Carter than it was before, and domestically, Carter's combination of financial austerity and soft money created the worst economy since the Great Depression and the worst inflation in our nation's history.

    1. Barack Obama - Pure evil. While Carter's damage was caused by incompetence, Obama's was caused by intention. Obama wanted to cripple America as the world's sole superpower. Obama wanted to cripple America's economic engine. Obama wanted to cripple America socially by causing racial, sexual, and homosexual division. Obama wanted to strengthen Islamic regimes like Iran. Obama wanted to saddle Americans with so much debt that it would destroy the country. When Obama said he wanted to fundamentally transform the nation, he wasn't kidding.

Some notes: I didn't include George Soros because for all his billions, he has been exceptionally ineffective in getting his candidates and policy wishes enacted. I didn't include Hillary Clinton because for all her destructiveness, she still lost, limiting the amount of real damage she could cause. Bill Clinton was rather innocuous and actually did some good, in getting NAFTA through and in getting a Republican Congress elected, which then went on to balance the budget for the first and last time in 70 years.

Good questions! I read Mila 18 when I was seventeen or so and then I read everything that I could get hold of by Leon Uris the author also of Exodus. Mila 18 was about the Warsaw Ghetto Revolt against the might of the German military in 1942.

I am not saying that I totally agree with everybody on his list but....
if you will listen to this interview from 2014 from the twenty minute mark,
    you will hear some impressive
evidence that President Obama, for one example, made a pretty serious error
when he seemed to back up Iran over Saudi Arabia and set in motion a series of events that easily could have led to wrecking the value of the USA petrodollar.

This is by CIA economist Jim Rickards:

Probably Jimmy Carter. He engaged in the socialist practice of price controls and took interest rates to 18?. He gave away the Panama Canal. I can't think of anything more destructive that happened after him. Second place goes to Lyndon Johnson for expanding rather than ending the vietnam war. Third place goes to GW Bush for spending like a drunken sailor on war which is the absolute worst thing to spend money on if you started the war.

An utterly ridiculous list, by some RW Looney Tune who has an Axe to Grind against Democrats.

    An Utterly IRRELEVANT List.:bored:

Oh my list, Trump would be #1 (by a Large Margin).

And as far as the author of that Ridiculous Drivel (Frank Hawkins)?

That Pathetic Idiot (Hawkins) INCORRECTLY Spelled...

    ...Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin...:roflol:

I would recommend to this Frank Harris Idiot, that if he wants to post Drivel (and he actually expects to be taken seriously) slamming on American Pop Culture Icons (Like Jimi and Janis) that he makes some effort to spell their names right.

Is that too much to ask?:salute:

On the list? LBJ by a wide margin. His mismanagement of the Vietnam War, coupled with the War on Poverty that ended up causing and extending poverty for many more were complete disasters. They aren't on the list, but I would put the Legacy Media siding (as a whole) with one particular party as the second biggest set of destructive Americans out there, followed by academia doing the same as the third.

You overused the capital letters in your post. Also, you misused the ellipsis. The three dots are only supposed to be used while omitting words out of a quote.

If you must play "Grammar Nazi" with others, ensure that your own posts are impeccable first. Is that too much to ask? :salute:

Good Lord, everyone. I get paid to correct grammar, the last thing I need to see while off the clock are amateurs doing so here. Why do you think I deliberately mangle English while posting?

In my post I addressed the OP.

You just made a ridiculous off-topic troll post.

    So, here is your chance:

How about something that is actually On-Topic and not a Troll Post?

Is that too much to ask?

    And, once again, On-Topic:

I consider Harris' List to be thoroughly ridiculous and without merit (motivated by a hatred of Democrats).

    What say you? :salute:

Hey...I was only able to vote for one not eight !!!

And where was Obama's name ?
He severely damaged the U.S. military and totally turned the Middle East into a complete basketcase.

    My list:

    George Soros

    Barack Obama

Mark Felt (that's a good choice)
Mark felt accomplished what Robert Mueller couldn't accomplish.

    Clinton's Family Crime Syndicate

    Nancy Pelosi

    The Democratic National Committee

    Lying and murder Teddy Kennedy

JFK's "Young and Brightest" who ended up not being so bright.

    Honorable mentions:
    John Kerry
    Jane (Hanoi) Fonda
    Walter Cronkite
    Saul Alinsky
    Low information voters

The Democratic Party which has abandoned workers and the poor for 50 years. Democrats = Republicans concerning income and wealth inequality.

1 - 10. Mark Felt. The rest of them probably managed to do something constructive.
