The American Empire Is Coming To An End

The downward death spiral of the American Empire seems unstoppable. Good riddance to this empire which has cause much suffering around the world. The downsideis that many innocent people will suffer in the U.S.

 

Good. I hope it’s true. If so we can justify no longer helping lesser countries that can’t help themselves and focus on our own issues

We didn't do a bad job. A few large mistakes, but we've avoided a Third World War and there have been no more Hiroshima's or Nagasaki's. Have there been many unnecessary deaths? Yes. But far fewer than would have occurred in another world war or nuclear war. But, there are existential issues left unresolved. How the world deals with the problems of authoritarianism, climate change, pandemics, etc. remains to be seen, as well as the social and economic tools we choose to use to solve them. And, of course, what will our new role be in contributing to their resolution?

 

I'm not going to watch a video that probably came from Biden's CRT curriculum, but I will say this; if this country sucks so badly, then what's keeping the haters here? If this country is so terrible, then why is Omar here? If this country is so horrible, then why do people from all over the world risk their lives trying to sneak into it? If this country is so horrific, then why did Obama and now Biden want to move as many Muslim refugees here as they possible could? If this country is so evil, then why do liberals want to make illegals part of it by making them citizens?

Just south of Florida there's a country that has everything the left wants. What's stopping them from packing up and sailing off to the wonderful island of Cuba?

As for the "empire which has cause much suffering around the world" comment, we ended two world wars, we provide aid to many poor countries and our technical and medical advancement have helped millions around the world. We can put a stop to that if that stuff really bothers people. Also, at the current time, today, July 29, 2021, there are still slaves in the world and you can find them in Africa, Asia, China, and Central and South America, the left ignores that and if anyone mentions it they're racist. These are often the same places the left considers to be utopias, but strangely they never leave the evil empire and head to any of those paradises.

This thread is just more proof how the left hates this country.

Unfortunately, working to change what we see as negative has become a rally cry for others to label us with hatred of the country. We progress - we move forward. You're generalizing. Where have you traveled in the "rest of the world?" Not everyone wants to come to the U.S. Particularly people who have been successful in their own countries and are well established.

I own a Porsche. Great car. Lots of people want a Porsche, and they are awesome performance vehicles.

Somebody stands up and says "Screw Porsche, they suck! I hope that company dies!". We don't know if this person owns a Porsche, a Chevy, a Yugo... no idea. What we do know, is that they are free to not buy the Porsche and go buy whatever they want.

A response is made. "Porsche is an awesome car, that's why so many people want one."

To which you reply. "Do you think it's perfect? Have you ever driven any other car? Not everybody wants a Porsche!"

If the OP hates America so much, then either get the **** out, or don't come here. It's that simple. Standing up screaming that he hates America means absolutely nothing. Denying that the US is a great country and has provided far more good to the world than bad, and is often a beacon of opportunity to much of the world can't be changed because he screams the loudest irrational BS.

Now, if he would have said "Porsche can be better, they can fix this, or improve that, or do this..." people would be receptive. Nothing is perfect. There may be something better, Ferrari? There is most certainly worse.

American Empire has been on the decline for some time now. It’s just hard to pinpoint when this decline started. I think it began with the ending of the Cold War.

Yes, the country is imperfect. Yes it can be fixed. Yes it is still great. The problem is that marxists like the OP understand that fixing it isn't in their best interest.
