It is shocking and appalling how NASA is pushing absurd nonscience on defenseless children. CO2 absorbs IR radiation but then almost immediately re-emits it. In fact, because the air is so dry at the typical final emission altitude from which surface heat is eventually lost to the cold of outer space, IR radiation from CO2 accounts for much of the outbound IR radiation flux that keeps the earth from getting hotter! Adding CO2 just increases the average final emission altitude and correspondingly reduces its temperature, maintaining thermal equilibrium. The effect of CO2 on surface temperature may therefore be undetectably small.
