Democrat Ilhan Omar easily won over Republican opponent Jennifer Zielinski in the race to replace Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District.
Omar and Michigan House candidate Rashida Tlaib (D) are poised to become the first two Muslim-American women to serve in Congress after their wins on Tuesday.
Omar will also become the first Somali-American member of Congress.
Omar, the Democratic-Farmer-Labor nominee, was largely favored to win the blue Minnesota district, which hasn't sent a Republican to Congress since 1962. The district includes Minneapolis and its surrounding suburbs.
The Minnesota state congresswoman ran a progressive platform that included "Medicare for all," criminal justice reform and abolishing Immigration and Customs

You're overreacting. This won't change much.
I know you're probably afraid that with Muslims now occupying important government seats in the USA you might have a slightly harder time to dehumanize Muslims.

But In reality it really doesn't mean much. What are these 2 poor people going to do? They'll just fall in line like everyone else and do what is expected from them.
They are politicians with probably the same amount/kind of ambitions like anyone else.

I doubt that Muslims will ever be as over represented in the US as Jews are, even though we can see what happened with over representation of Jews in Europe

I doubt it will change a lot of things. I doubt that the USA are threatened on the long term, at the opposite of many european countries.

How's that bad now? Do you know anything about Minnesota's demographics? And the 5th column? Seriously? Like there's never been Muslims residing in large portions in Europe? Considering the likes it got and sht your posts like that Eminem song:
"I go to TRL look how many hugs I get".

Gosh, I wonder if these two brave/admired Muslim women now have the authority to change Qur'an 4:34 which says to BEAT women. Surely they will at least distance themselves from that Qur'anicc verse, no? Or are they hypocritical cowards? :)

Surely they will denounce Sharia Law, no? They need to be asked "Did Allah get it WRONG, or is a woman INDEED only worth half a man like the Islamic texts say?"

Women in general were the winner here....Mohammad will be the eventual loser since Islamic misogyny will ultimately be exposed.

But keep in mind that Muslims (apparently) seem to lack the moral courage to condemn their "best book of all time" that actually says to overthrow us non-Muslims and implement their god's totalitarian Islamic Sharia Law (Q8:39):
"39 And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism, i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]......"
    https://www.searchtruth.com/chapter_display.php?chapter=8&translator=5&mac=

So Muslims who won't condemn their god would appear to be traitors in our midst, no - traitors to Western Democracy, no? Democracy is foreign to the Islamic texts, unfortunately - their god doesn't understand Democracy, apparently, or he'd have said "one person, one vote", etc.....but he didn't.

So your issue with Muslims in congress is that you suspects they'll overthrow the nation from within congress and implement what you call "Sharia Law"?
You are really trying way too hard to find reasons to hate them. If your fear was real you should probably be happy they try to do it through congress because at least everyone will know what they're doing!

My worry is that they will leak intelligence to Middle Eastern nations.

Minnesota's 5th is so Liberal that the only one who could defeat a Somali Muslim would be a transgender Somali Muslim Al Qaeda member.

The danger is not Muslims......well, not Muslims alone.

The danger is the bizarre multi-cultural tribe that is beginning to dominate U.S. politics.......urban voters.......Muslims, blacks, browns, women, and young white helpers brainwashed by their Liberal school teachers since they were five years old.

The future of this tribe as a political coalition is murky, and at some point they will have to fight each other........

But for right now.......they are set to dominate the shrinking white and rural population.

    You can't fight demographics.

I would be more worried about leaks to USA's competitors (including Europeans), not the countries in the Middle East.
Which countries in the Middle East do you even mean? It's like saying that you're afraid some Buddhist American Politician will leak information to Asian countries.
Also I think the USA has enough people who's job it is to worry about security breaches.

Omar has dome more to advance the empowerment of women than the entire Trump base has put together, so they don't have a leg to stand on, there.

Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia. I could well imagine a Buddhist American Politician doing that, but we are not engaged in any wars with Buddhist nations at the moment.

That we have police doesn't mean we should not worry about criminals.

And there are no Buddhists rioting and chanting "Death to America."

    At least......I haven't seen any.

Most of them seem quite docile.

One of them is of Palestinian origin and the other is of Somali origin. They have no relation with Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Afghanistan. They probably can't even get into these countries. Or do you think countries and borders are there just decorations in the Middle East and they allow any Muslim to get in?

What are these countries going to do anyway? The only country that has some potential is Saudi Arabia, USA's biggest ally in the region, but all their weapons comes from the USA. They are giving huge amounts of money to the USA so their kingdom can survive. USA is completely in control with what happens in Saudi Arabia, if they want to.
Who you need to worry about is countries who have potential. And the Middle East has no potential. You're worrying for nothing. Quite the contrary, people over there are worrying about USA's aggressive policies in their homelands.

They are all Muslims and can be convinced to support their co-religionists, especially when opposing Israel.

Seems to me a lot of American blood has been spilled there recently. There must be some US interests which could be harmed by Muslim congressmen and congresswomen.

How would being representatives of a secular government give them any authority to change a religious text?
