What I discovered about the soul, the afterlife & reincarnation doesn't fit with traditional Christian teachings. The reality is far more interesting. :)

The closest I've come to what you are talking about was when I considered calling myself an agnostic. It there is anything out there we will never know it until we are there and then what we thought while in this current life will be irrelevant.

Yes, I'm very familiar with the feelings you describe. The first thing that began to erode my agnosticism was attending meetings at the local IANDS [International Association for Near Death Studies] group, where I met & had opportunities to question individuals who experienced dying and medical resuscitation. Over time, I personally interviewed about 40 of them. The change came gradually, as I found so much similarity among the individual experiences. None were exactly the same, but there were elements shared by all that were too redundant and compelling to ignore. The spirit world they described was beautiful beyond words, yet lacked all the negatives found in all traditional religions. I heard nearly a hundred different NDEs, but not one of them described going to a place & being judged for their "sins." Just the opposite occurred. They were shown their recent lives in great detail, but told they were expected to learn from their lives, not fear being judged for their mistakes. All experienced overwhelming love and a sense of compassion, willingness to help, and an interest in those coming back telling others about their experience so others would learn life continues after physical death. It was all very positive & beautiful. This is only the beginning of what I found. And what I found certainly wasn't what I expected to find when I began looking. :)

I just wanted to add a short followup to my post #178. I gradually came to realize that the real life-death-life transition was unlike any traditional religion, and I began to see the whole, complex relationship between the spiritual & physical realities as a natural system within itself. Surely one we were largely unfamiliar with (at least when I began researching the topic), but one where ever increasing info is becoming available for those interested and open minded enough to seek it out. I was an atheist for many years, yet the evidence available to everyone out there, convinced me I was wrong, and life is much more complex, and amazing than most of us ever realize. And, it spans multiple dimensions, realities, and doesn't end. One physical lifetime is much the same to your soul, as a single class would be to your program for a college degree. Every lifetime in the physical sphere teaches the soul more of what it needs to graduate from the physical connections entirely & concentrate on spiritual reality altogether. But one source I read by Dr. Brian Weiss, mentioned one of his patients being regressed, remembered living 84 separate lifetimes on Earth. I suspect we all live that or more. There's much to learn here, and after 25 years of investigation, I'm still learning. :)

Your summary is very, very, very much in line with the conclusions that I have came to as well with only one major
    potential disagreement........

Although a part of our soul that existed for an astonishing amount of time before we were even conceived does indeed
reincarnate....... there is also a part of us that lives on as a continuation of who we are right now.......
and that person can go higher and higher and higher and higher for infinite time in the future.

I believe that there is zero contradiction between the visions of heaven as shown to many Christians with the truth of reincarnation........

So I can go to church with my Pentecostal wife and actually agree with her that what she is being taught is valuable... .and true....... (just not the entirety of all truth)........

So.... I do believe in a succession of heavens that a Christian can graduate up and up and up to.......
very much as shown to near death experiencer Dr. George Ritchie.

My reading of the Seth/Jane Roberts series, led me to the same conclusion, though I've found no other source that mentions it. Both Hinduism & Buddhism teach that the soul incarnates & afterward the portion of the soul that leaves the body, returns to the spirit world & reunites with its Oversoul, as one entity again. But Seth seems to say that when an incarnate soul leaves the dead physical body, it returns to the spirit world as a separate, new soul, but an exact duplicate of the Oversoul that created it in the first place. After that reunion, both souls continue developing in their own, individual way, as separate beings. I like the idea of Seth's version a lot, partly because it accounts for the increase in the number of souls in the spirit world--something I've not seen accounted for by other sources.

    Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I so thank you for this exceptionally well informed comment!

I have began several discussion forums dedicated to near death experience accounts so even from the back woods of Nova Scotia, Canada I am running into so many impressive accounts of this nature...... that fit perfectly with what you have noticed as well...... that my view of what happens after death has been transformed by these people who had a brush with death.

If you do a search for the title "Near death experiences Bring Us Together" you will likely find some of the groups or pages that I began.

I am even hopeful that as the research becomes more well know it will assist in decreasing tensions between racial, ethnic and religious groups.

I read Wambach's book first, before Dr Michael Newton's two books--Journey of Souls & Destiny of Souls. I liked Dr Newton's work more. It was far more detailed about the spirit world. I highly recommend both books, but especially the latter one. :)

I really think that you might enjoy this explanation by Rabbi Alon Anava as to why his NDE was not merely a hallucination.

For the record..... my theory is that G-d.......
is on a mission to lead Satan to a Heavenly state of consciousness.......
and.... G-d is going to win this one.........

G-d wants his kids back........ and G-d is going to get his kids back..... and we indeed are privileged to be the cannon fodder on the front lines of an epic battle that began who knows how many millions of years ago????????/

I want to start an online outreach to Satanists....

I could be wrong.... but I suspect that the predatory and competitive behaviour patterns of the dinosaurs...... indicate the fallen spiritual condition of many realms of angelic and / or higher invisible dimensional intelligences far, far, far, far, far beyond us humans.

It is truly wonderful to read that somebody else other than me has caught onto the
most likely implications of a theory put forward by my all time favourite writer on this forum.........

The Philosophical implications of Multiverse Theory?

    I absolutely agree with you.....
I do believe that those people who have seen "a future"
saw a future that had already taken place........
but not our future..... because the future that we are about to experience has not
yet occurred and can be significantly altered by our decisions........
    (G-d willing for the better!!!!!)

    https://www.near-death.com/science/research/future.html#a03

    3. The future is not fixed and can change

This is why I am spending so much time lately thinking about the implications of a proposed new nation emerging out of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Colombia, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories and quite possibly Nunuvut as well?!

Proposed Republic of Western Canada and Unified Field Theory of M.W.P.

As a native born U.S. citizen, and a self-made Canadaphile, I'm curious why you are advocating dividing your remarkable country?

I actually am hoping to stop the division of Canada but the course of action that I am advocating is to take the sentiment toward western separation very, very, very seriously and make no attempt to minimize either the level of disappointment of western Canada with Ottawa............. or to minimize the degree to which Ottawa has failed western Canada.

Many of P.M.Justin Trudeau's initiatives have been understood as essentially the beginning of something like an all out attack on the prevailing culture of western Canada and on the economy of western Canada...... by Ottawa and by Canada's political left.

Is Alberta probably going to separate from Canada?

Whenever technology advances, those with jobs in the old technology are adversely affected. It has happened over & over & over again throughout history. When cars replaced horses after the turn of the last century, all those jobs that employed people who took care of horses, went away. When airplanes took over passenger travel during the 20th Century, trains lost their appeal, and passenger trains pretty much disappeared (at least in America). Change gives us technology that enhances our lives, but always inflicts pain in the process. If Western Canadians are reluctant to abandon fossil fuels because there's so much of it there, and it's easy to get at, then they need to be more sensitive to the impact mining it has on their own environment, and be sensitive to the very real danger it poses for themselves, their children & grandchildren & for the whole planet, from the toxicity it imposes on our atmosphere, and the CO2 it discharges that increases global warming. Their children & grandchildren will still have to breathe 50 and 100 years from now. It's not sensible or even rational to see only the immediate monetary gain in such a dangerous & threatening resource. The other side of the coin here is the fact that over time, all those old technology job holders did move on to new & more interesting & often more lucrative careers. We all must stay open to new, unexpected opportunities, and remember, "Whenever a door closes in our lives, another one opens." But we must be willing to expect it & look for it.

What I am actually advocating is a whole new relationship between Canada and the USA as our Creator intervenes......... and takes over in the lives of Canadians...... and Americans........
America is the leader in taking the gospel of the kingdom to the world.......
and in my opinion this girl is the best of the best of the best of the best......

I believe that the province of Alberta.... has the personnel who will be willing to do what needs to be done to prevent the Hurricane of one dollar bills that Pastor Shane Warren was warned about.......

Canada led by Ottawa will NOT do what needs to be done to prevent this......
The dream he explains at the seventeen minute mark is something that G-d DOES NOT want to see happen.... G-d wants the devaluation of the USA dollar prevented........... and I believe Alberta leads the charge on this.... backed up by the northern territories of Canada.... I am thinking all three of them...... and then it grows from there......

I do agree with Muslims on the need to fulfill Isaiah chapter thirty five and turn deserts green.....
which I believe is the best way to pull the world out from under the spell cast by Mr. Al Gore and Mr. Bill Gates......

    www.BankingSystemsFlaws.blogspot.ca/

    On the other hand.....
I have been thinking lately that if Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is actually working with high level CSIS operatives to destroy the Biden campaign......

and knock out the Biden handlers who are passing Biden a script to read......
then perhaps Trudeau is on the side of the Being of Light of NDE fame?????????

This world has never been so confusing to me as it has been these past three years??????

    .......

Dr. Leslyn Lewis would herself probably prefer that some of us, her supporters were less radical but.... . I am sure that she would get a good laugh out of this theory.....

...... " IS THE PLAN PERFECTLY ON TRACK?????????????

ON THE PLUS SIDE...... P. M. JUSTIN TRUDEAU MADE SO MANY ERRORS OVER THESE PAST TWO OR THREE YEARS THAT IT COULD BE ARGUED THAT HE LOST BIDEN TENS OF MILLIONS OF VOTES.......WHICH COULD BE ARGUED PERHAPS..... FORCED BIDEN'S HANDLERS AND SUPPORTERS INTO TAKING DRASTIC ACTIONS......... WHICH OPEN ALL OF THEM UP TO INDICTMENTS SO.......... IN A WAY WITH HIS INNOCENCE AND LACK OF POLITICAL WISDOM......P. M. JUSTIN TRUDEAU ALMOST SEEMS LIKE HE IS OUT TO DERAIL BIDEN AND HIS TEAM......... (SORT OF)??????????

.... GOOGLE "IVANKA TRUMP / P. M. JUSTIN TRUDEAU TALKING" AND ASK YOURSELF........ WHAT IN THE WORLD COULD SHE HAVE TOLD HIM THAT WOULD SO TURN HIM AGAINST BIDEN AND BIDEN'S HANDLERS?????????

    .......
I WOULD SO LOVE IT IF MR. MAXIME BERNIER AND THE PPC AND THE NEW BLUE COULD COOPERATE AT AN EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH LEVEL........ IN SPITE OF THE OBVIOUS FACT THAT PROVINCIAL LEVEL POLITICS IS SO DIFFERENT FROM FEDERAL LEVEL POLITICS......
I have a friendly challenge for M.P.P. Belinda Karahalios and her husband New Blue Party leader Mr. Jim KIarahalios........
It is my 2016 campaign writing. After teaching English in Quito, Ecuador in 2001 and 2002 I returned home to Nova Scotia determined to be more politically active.......so I actually made it my hobby to LOSE ELECTIONS! I have lost four political campaigns already and with a combined total of only forty one votes in all of my four official campaigns I believe that I can term myself to be ONE OF CANADA'S WORST POLITICIANS!!!!!

BUT THEN AGAIN..... AT LEAST I HAVE MADE IT A HABIT TO TRY MY BEST TO NOT VIOLATE THE NUREMBURG CODES AS CERTAIN OTHER CANADIAN POLITICAL LEADERS DON'T SEEM TO MIND DOING!!!!!!

I want this campaign to be win - win - win for all of us and on that note my opponent, Ms. D..... F......, has gotten several positive comments that she did a good job and worked very hard on Sherbrooke Village Old Fashioned Christmas events over these past several years.
One of the major reasons why I decided to campaign for the office of Municipal Councillor for St. Mary's District #1, Sherbrooke, was to attempt to find five or more volunteers willing to give their time to attempt to set up some sort of St. Mary's District Volunteerism Hour or Dollar, similar to Tamworth Hours or Calgary Dollars.
During the Great Depression, Irving Fischer Ph. D. visited the town of Worgl, Austria that had initiated a local currency as an experiment. Previous to this there had been mass unemployment and 4/5 local factories had closed down. In only six weeks unemployment in Worgl virtually disappeared.
"Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using ‘scrip’ throughout the U.S.
Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local ‘scrip’ in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the ‘scrip’ systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the ‘New Deal.’" (Francis and Lia Ayley, whatcomwatch .org)
I believe that Sherbrooke has the talented and skilled personnel needed to organize a successful modern application of the Worgl Local Currency Experiment right here.
Thank you for considering this option.
