I think you meant legit instead of "ligit."

And I still am quite unsure just what "scientific sounding words and ideas" I used without the proper "credentials."

Or exactly what I said that might fall under the category of "unconventional beliefs regarded as having little or no scientific basis, especially those relating to spirituality, mysticism, or alternative medicine." (Dictionary.com--rather similarly--says that the term is "an insult for or describing mystical or supernatural beliefs not backed up by science, e.g., alternative medicine practices like healing crystals or cupping." And again, I fail to see the relevance.)

Oh, and I would certainly be interested in your explaining just what lies ("prevarications" is just a fancy word for that) that I have (supposedly) told...

Yes, Mike Pence is a religious non scientific, evolution denying fanatic who has a critical role in a scientific endeavor. Defend this travesty.

Seriously ? Trump has no idea. He as well as Pence are non believers in science.
    Pence.
“Charles Darwin never thought of evolution as anything other than a theory. He hoped that someday it would be proven by the fossil record but did not live to see that, nor have we . . . And now that we have recognized evolution as a theory, I would simply and humbly ask, can we teach it as such and can we also consider teaching other theories of the origin of species?" — speaking before Congress, July 11, 2002”

Claiming the poor share the same air we breathe is about as appropriate as anyone can get when it comes to supporting access to healthcare for the poor. It’s obvious they do and scientifically reasonable to include in any discussion of medical science when it comes to diseases.

Denials like “ non sequitur “ is as appropriate an example of woo woo as one can possibly make.

Here is something stated by the author of that piece:

"Many court battles have been fought over the fact personal religious beliefs are just that—personal—and have no business making an appearance inside a science classroom. The fact that Pence felt strongly enough to make this speech inside a house of government reveals he does not see religion and science as two separate entities."

If one truly believes that biblical views are anti-scientific, then one should immediately crusade against the Bible and the Christian religion (as well as the Jewish religion). To claim that one should continue to believe in the Bible (through "faith"), while simultaneously believing in "science" (through "reason") is, essentially, to say that we should all compartmentalize our brains.

I am a thoroughly reasonable person--which is to say, I am animated by reason only--so I simply do not have time for such nonsense.

Poor Americans do have full "access" to healthcare---now.

It is known as the Emergency Room (a.k.a. the Emergency Department).

They take all people--whether they have insurance or not.

Wrong......that’s not full healthcare coverage. That’s emergency care. Big difference, as is ER from urgent care. . But keep telling yourself that you’re a real medical expert.

Tell us, are you going to treat illegals with the Coronavirus or just throw them back onto the street with the disease.

No they aren’t required at all, only critical cases. What a funny, uninformed statement.

I am not going to treat anyone for Corona virus as I am not competent to do so, but I would throw illegals back on the street if I were. US medical care is for US Persons and our authorized guests.

Assuming we tested them, “throwing people with diseases” back into the populous causes more harm and costs more money then dealing with them.

This is why countries with UHC have better outcomes for everyone. They really aren’t medically ignorant enough to send infected people back into the streets with the masses.

Separating church and state and the science it depends upon, not only makes me more reasonable then Pence, it makes me more constitutionally correct then anyone who says otherwise.

I am sure you will change your mind if you or a loved one needs to be hospitalized but the hospital if full of illegals.

Absolutely not. It bothers me more if known infected people are thrown back out into the public with no concern for public safety....

It is you or your loved one who is going to be put out on the street instead of the illegals. The concern for public safety is the same.

You need to study medical science instead of making statements that aren’t relevant. Testing and mitigating of everyone in need.is required. You’re delusional thinking you separate the infected from those that are not by playing politics. My loved ones are in greater danger by not treating everyone who’s infected as early as possible. Do you need expinential growth and susceptibility to initial conditions explained ?

The real reason we should be concerned, is the gop and Trump. We learned of the cases the same time as South Korea. They are testing 10,000 per day and we haven’t tested a total of 10,000. Why ?
In 2018, Trump Fired the Entire Chain of Command for Pandemic Response

We talk tough on bans and illegals, but dropped the ball on testing and treating, everyone.

In the same vein, Republicans are waiting until the country will accept a full-blown dictator, with the abolition of defense attorneys, public executions, and a public burning of the Constitution. Why even now trump is probably getting a price from Duterte for renting out his death squads.

    Okay, fair comparison.

When was the last time an ER provided a heart bypass for a poor person that did NOT have any insurance?

You need to know how to care for our citizens. Neither Trump nor the gop has shown much interest in medical science funding and maintaining the now dramatically understaffed CDC.

“And we should care for our citizens first and send illegals packing”

Sounds tough....but as yet, Trump and his minions only know how to talk tough. It seems “logic” on the part of the uniformed doesn’t mean much. How does Trump take care of citizens and track the disease when he doesn’t know how ? It’s a dog and pony show....

it seems every country that has that “socialist” universal healthcare is testing at a rate a hundred times faster then most places here....the so called medical giants of the world and the richest country in the world has the poorest health outcomes for a reason.

The casualties of the epidemic will be Trumps base...
