Actually, as I AM Atheist it is HIGHLY likely I have more knowledge than you do....Have you ever wondered WHY people become Atheist?

For myself it came about after years of Catholic school leading to questions I was not supposed to ask. After being punished for daring to ask, I sought answers for myself which then led to a lifetime of seeking.

I was a Priest for 10 years before I retired, and there is a hell of a lot more to it than message board experts think. And yes, I do know about word for word and thought for thought translations. It changes nothing.

Is it "The word of God" or is it metaphorical writing?

 

Comparing criticism to actual suppression is intellectually dishonest nonsense. When you feel the need to misrepresent someone's statements so badly, it says more about the weakness of your position than anything else.

 

I'm going to assume that you are not being a wise guy and that you really want to know.

God is not a genie that you can just rub a lamp and have Him grant your wish. It takes a great deal of spiritual preparation to be able to bring about a NT type miracle (not to mention an anointing). I have been witness to more than one of these but when I tell people that they never believe me anyway. But it is God who performs the miracle, anyway, not people.

I seriously doubt that.. from a scientific perspective I find atheist ignore statistics and logic, the universe simple couldn't exist without a Creator..... statistically speaking the probability that it is otherwise, is magnitudes beyond preposterous.

 

Here's one on the probability of Jesus fulfilling 8 of the over 300 prophesies of His Coming.

That is untrue, No One knows how the Universe came about....NO ONE. No one knows how it did not come about either and that's the point. In scientific circles we accept that simple fact but still try to figure things out.....we call that hypothesis and theory. Theology simply states a super being did it and gives up or makes things up to support it. I personally find far more tangible data to support a bouncing universe/Big Bang that an inviable and unsupported magic man.

 

No, I am saying I cannot believe your eyes, and I do not want or expect you to believe me either....in fact I have given you nothing to believe in the first place.
